this is my new line ;; and it works wonders the best yet!!! i will look into a new wt and find when they call a old teaching bible truth etc.... And then i drop the bomb of the false teachings they are talking about.... then i ask the jw WAS THIS WORSHIP ACCEPTABLE TO JEHOVAH.... BUT you have to have worked them over before to make this work..... or the easy one is to say ok so jesus choose the wt in 1919 as the fds ...sounds good to me....lets study the wt mag's and books from that time to see if jesus really choose the wt then .... they never will ... at this point you busted them.... and never let them off this study,.,., only old wt's till 1919 if you stick to this point you will never be shut up..... that's a fact.....keep the pressure ON .... Last week I explained to a JW about how profitable the magazines are and how the donation arrangement makes the Society even more money.
Everyone says that the WTBTS is making a lot of money, and I know they're a billion dollar (b)org. but I don't understand where they get all this money, aside from donations. Don't they give out the mags. free? Anyone wanna explain?

Just get them to admit that the WT society has made errors in their predictions etc. Then say, Well then what does that do to ones faith in an organization that claims they are spirit directed and they make errors? That one worked for me. It shut the elder right up.

I like to use the fact that if they insist that the bible
is the word of god then they must by default admit that
jehovah has worked thru the catholics.....you may have
to explain the history of the bible cannon tho'....they never
seem to know about it...:)

I am curious about that.
What about the original Manuscripts of the Scriptures?

I haven't had much success with that tactic because, (and I know some of you will find this hard to believe, but I swear it's true) they would use the old "new light" excuse. (which is really getting old, btw) Anyway I can never seem to get anyone to admit that all the lies and erroneous predictions don't bode well for the WT. Ah, well, what can ya do?
I am also curious FRUSTR8TD. What do you mean he would have to work through the Catholic Church? It wasn't Catholics that wrote the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts.

FRUSR8TD,
Yes you are so right The Jdubs seem to forget that the canon of scriptures were developed by the early church fathers bias slant on what was and wasn't truth. The early church fathers, which were mostly the founders of what was eventually what we know today as the Catholic Church. Although the early Christian movement was more diversified and fractional in their thinking. It was u ltimately the winners in the end that rewrote history for their own selfish political agenda.

I would again say that if you are "spirit directed" by God, how can you make mistakes?? I do see your point however although they can justify anything by claiming "new light". Why do you think there is so many Dubs that are becoming disillusioned and falling away

Especially the point that in Bethel they celebrated Saturnalia on December 25th. (Oops, I meant Christmas.) If they did that then you can be sure they did Easter too! ;)
