Thanks, Blondie. I made it home, safe and sound and in one piece. My comments on this week's subject:
December 29 WT Study
Christians Need one Another
from WT November 15, 2002
Places of Worship. Do we Need Them
?
We are members belonging to one another - EPHESIANS 4:25
We Need You Young Ones Too
p. 14 Notice that the burden of happiness is laid at the childrens feet.
What about you young ones today? Be assured that you are loved and needed in the congregation.
So an unhappy child must conclude that it is
their fault .
My notes on the WTs examples of helpers
My notes on the body of Christ
Going beyond what is written
p. 8, 10, 11 Did you know that Epaphroditus was either an elder or a ministerial servant? I always thought Peter was an apostle. Apparently I was wrong. Peter was an elder. Was Timothy ever referred to as an Elder in the scriptures? How blessed the WTS must be to have coined the exact same phraseology as existed in the first century church, 1800 years afterwards! Amazing!
p. 9 Aristarchus
was perhaps a source of solace or assistance in basic, practical matters . If the WTS is going to speculate on the life of Aristarchus, perhaps they should build on what has been said before.
Aristarchus means best ruler. He is therefore a good example, not of a fellow believer, but a fellow leader in the church.
