and realist...while we are on the topic of logic......what exactly would the purpose of building wmd be if there was never a point in using them? you seem to think youve got hussein figured out, and you know for a fact hes at least had a wmd program in the past (even if you do foolishly believe its only in the past).....so wheres your grandiose logic for why he ever built them in the first place? hes got no where to use them anyhow right? i suppose it was only for self defense!?! lol.

Yes. It's ok. Bullies are people who hurt others because they like it. The US enforces global policy, UN policy, because of economic reasons, but maybe some good people who are hurting under the current establishment can be freed and hopefully live a good life as free men, not enslaved under madmen leaders.

Yes, it will "hurt" when billions of people are destroyed, but all good circumstances start with pain.

So then, the USA starts with Saddam - just to get in practice - then goes around toppling any regime it wants? After all, it's for their own good....they just don't know it yet. Of course the USA is not a "bully" because our way of life is good and their way of life is bad.

Everybody has a right to defend themselves against agression. If I was Saddam, I would have me a couple of WMD too. His paranoia is well founded.

the problem lies in your total lack of knowledge about the history of the region and hussein. please go and get some information.

saddam is power hungry and neither a moron nor suicidal.

in 1972 iraq signed a 15 year treaty of cooperation with the Soviet Union and agreed to cooperate in political, economic, and military affairs. The Soviets agreed to supply Iraq with arms. the iraqies then nationalized Iraqs entire oil industry, including Exxon and Mobils 25% share in the Iraq Petroleum Company (a share worth today upwards of a trillion dollars) as well as the 45% british and 25% french shares!!! since then the US didn't get back control of these oil resources!

with the money from the oil production hussein made iraq to one of the most modern and westernized countries in the region.

a) yes he supports families of suicide bombers....to say this is support of terrorism is weird.

b) where does that number come from??? whom would he threat with that junk anyways? jordan maybe??? he could shoot scuds against isreal...which would mean his certain destruction....hence he won't do it unless he is being attacked.

c) he was said to have the 5th largest and best equipped army before the gulf war...in fact he had bullshit equipment from the 60ties and seventies that was destroyed without loosing a SINGLE US tank or plane!!! so if the reports about his chemical resources are as accurate than i think we don't have to worry very much about his WMD capability!

d) kuwait had violoated the OPEC resolution and started to drill into iraq'S oil resources. when iraq contacted the US embassador US diplomats told hussein it is up to him how to operate in this case....he was given the impression that the US is ok with an invasion of kuwait.

e) if killing woman and children during a war is a crime than how do you excuse the carpet bombardments of germany, vietnam, north korea, panama etc. etc.

f) this crap is obvious when you read the history of iraq and the US iraqi relations....and further considere the power of the oil and weapon industry in the US.

i am not pro hussein at all...if it is possible to take him out with an assasin than fine do it....but it is despicable to kill thousands and thousands of people just for the interst of a few industry moguls in the US. AND it doesn't serve the interest of you or any other US citizen!!!!!!!!!

all of you continue to fail to give a logical reason why hussein should attack anyone! WHERE IS THE LOGIC ??? WHAT WOULD HE GAIN BY BEING DESTROYED???

well, when youre a maniacal dictator who tortures anyone that opposes you, including your own flesh and blood...i suppose there would be a need for protection.......but i hardly think that wmd were only intended for self defense, and again, anyone buying into this type of logic....can i use the word naive again?
