I certainly learned the Bible inside and out. We can argue till the cows come home about translations, but it's nice to be able to open the Bible and pretty much know what I'm looking for.

It may have saved my life by not having to go to war in Korea. My best friends brother died there so he was the only surviving son and didn't have to go either.

My wife does that.....even when it's clear that she doesn't have a clue.....

Other than getting exercise walking door to door and learning how not to be afraid of speaking to people, I can't think of anything positive about it.

I must admit .... not being an exJW or a JW it is kinda tough for me to respond to this thread ... but ... the training you guys receive in public speaking and debating really helps when it comes to your court cases and press conferences.

I bet there is some lawyer in Bethel who regrets giving everyone that kind of specialized training.
