Just watched the "Thin Red Line" last night, a very artisticaly shot film with great music, that shows the mental aguish suffered by soldiers in war.The contrast between the peace and beaty of the island and its people and the war being fought makes you wonder what war is all about.
It makes me wish that people would sit down and think about what they are actually doing when they talk of sending people to kill for their country.
Swing Kids is kinda an anti-war flick. Love it!
Black Hawk Down was brutal. Don't know if it was meant to be anti-war, but it was not glorifying it either.

I always considered Platoon an anit-war movie. These guys didn't give a ---- about right or wrong or the politics. They were just trying to survive. And some turned into murderers. I think everybody(especially politicians) need to watch this movie before ever thinking of military action against another country. It might make people think a little more before having a knee jerk reaction militarily.
M*A*S*H was a comedy anti-war movie. You laughed but then you were brought back to earth by the casualties suffered.
I have always thought 'Alls Quiet On The Western Front' made a pretty good point.
I haven't seen them all , because I do not enjoy that genre, but Apocalypse Now did a pretty good job ob showing how men can be brutalized and turned into mindless killers
