the wt is screwed again; i know just from my witnessing work the jw's have a prerecorded speech about child molesters.... it works in their minds but in the minds of the public not!!! i love to ask the jw's about the catholic priests molesters i saw on t.v. they beat the priests bad . once they finish i say now what about the jw molesters... oh the media is lying,, so is the media lying about the catholics? at this point they are late for a metting and run down the street..... yes they are hereing it in the fs....john

I suspect that perhaps some politicos will take a look and just maybe a light bulb will come on and an investigation or two will result. On a personal note, I'll wait patiently for a friend to phone and fill me in on what transpired. After that I'll go out for a walk in the snow and try to send some positive vibes out to the little victims still suffereing. It's over for me but not for them. Every televised event is a victory.

I have to say that I feel the same way Jgnat does, maybe because we both look at it from an outsider's point of view.

I wonder how many witnesses will even see the program. The one JW person who I mentioned the program to just said, "anything to do with abuse they are suppposed to call the police", and felt that there never had been a problem, but even if there had, it was solved...and was not interested in watching. No progress there, which made me sad.

I suspect the politicians will use the information and integrate it into a national policy on child abuse (someday), but will not make any specific reference to any religious group.

Bravo! Yes, this is Key The general public will soon be Klued in. The jws now? hahahaha, there is NO EXCUSE anymore for jws NOT TO QUESTION what is NOW going on within it's 'head-ship'. If they CHOOSE not to tune in, that will be stupid of them, now won't it? How will they answer the householders questions upon what they (householder) viewed and have viewed re: sex abuse within the jw church? Will they be prepared for violent householders, who abhore child predators (potentially at THEIR door? DOES WATCHTOWER EVEN KARE ABOUT THIS 'fallout'? Many of us know that answer. They are so busy now TRYING to secure their own ass(ets), that the average jw is not even a passing thought to the gb.

Expat, there is so much each person could do in their community. Or go to a community miles away if security is an issue. Print out documents, news articles, blurbs, front webpage of each key exjw/ watchtower site; such as the child abuse front page here, randys news page on jw pedophila (throw in the u.n. stuff and place them in govt., county offices, hospitals are good for blood documents and such), watchtower observer, rado's 'stuff' (his site is one of the most informative)...

AND PLACE THEM LIKE WE USED TO PLACE TRACTS! GET OUT THERE PEOPLE AND GET INTO ACTION! Stop relying on the media and other sources and resources to get this done. Get creative. Leave them on the buses, laundromats, grocery store shelves, take a pile of them to a kingdom hall AREA and 'accidently' drop them, all over the place...on a windy day, welfare office, child support divisions, lawyers offices ('WHO PAYS FOR CHILD ABUSE' is a winner...(thx bill)), courtroom hallways in family law, OTHER CHURCHES, mental health offices, etc.

This is the definition of inoculating the public. IN THEIR FACE! Just like we used to do. Yet now we have The Real Truth.

The ultimate would be to Witness the Fact someday that each and every piece of Watchtower Real Estate go to the benefit of 'WT/JW ABUSE SURVIVORS' and their each and EVERY need and even, at times, their wantons.

I used to dream of it's implosions (each building and kingdom hell), yet I have re-adjusted my thinking. I have re-directed, after learning how, my Rage to manifest positive, productive Action! against this most incredible CRIMINAL, CORRUPT, FRONT OF AN ORGANIZATION within my own community. I find the more I just place various related material within the publics view, the LESS ANGER I FEEL. It is, for me, a way of Amending! the parts I played in participating in The Insanity of this so-called 'religion'. Truth IS Power!

I agree with the posts thus far regarding tomorrow nights CBC program.

More than likely, non-JWs and those that have left, will watch it. Chances are slim, but I'm guessing the congregations have been instructed ahead of time, to discourage their members from watching 'this program'.

Again; I go on about this in many posts, but the advent of the internet has been anything short of a miracle in itself. That information, regardless of what it is, so easily disseminated by electronic means. Here we are, in what I know almost 20 years ago, would have been non-existant or damn near impossible.

There's no doubt, there's going to be some 'heat' or 'flack' at the door with the JWs in their door to door ministry. In Canada, of course, it'll be most apparent within the first week. Outside of Canada, unless it has been discussed on national medias there, it depends. But the constant opening up their hidden 'can of worms' will have an impact.

Will it be to their demise? I don't think so. If it was, it'd be a HUGE eye opener to me, and I'd need smelling salts to revive me. But you get the picture.

OH...btw, if you cannot pick up CBC on your cable, you can watch archived show from the CBC website. They are particularly efficient when it comes to these things. I do know you can watch some TV stations here in Canada in real-time via the internet. I have done that on occasion. I have DSL (high speed), so it's easier. With a 56K modem, it might be a bit dicey, if there are too many people connecting at the same time.

Tomorrow, January 29th. Will be an interesting evening for all of us.

Do you really think the general population gives a rat's ass about Jehovah's Witnesses? We are interested in what goes on in the JW world because we were part of it. People who were never associated with the JW's will watch it with passive interest if there is nothing better on another channel. Loyal JW's will avoid this show like the plague.

It will accomplish nothing, except to excite people like us. We all need to get on with our lives!

I would love for my mother to call me and say that she believes what is being said...But realistically she's already told me that the apostates put a "spin" on everything, including the media and the internet. So I expect that IF she does call after, she will tell me that it's a lie and the evil apostates are up to something AGAIN!

For the rest of us that have had to deal with this issue directly...I'm hoping that it will give them a sense of hope, that there is life after the WTS and that there IS a way out.

Does anyone know if they will post Silentlambs web or phone for those to each out???

I'm hoping that the WTS will realize that victims are not to be messed with because we will come back and kick some ass!!!!!!!!

We all know that, in their heads, the JW's feel persecuted. So this program could be a boost for them. They might see ~~Saint~~ Satan in back of this. Jehovah Witnesses have the ability to turn everything around to their advantage. Maybe, this time it won't be to their advantage.
