Name just ONE doctrine the Society has been consistent with? I can only think of their teaching of hell/sheol/soul...Bet y'all cant think of another ONE

eg....Blood...never been consistent, couldnt have a single drop, can now have particles...

1914 return of Christ...began as 1874 ...was the beginning of the generation that would see the end yada

even their armageddon teaching has been inconsistent, began in 1914, was happening in 1916, has been just around the corner forever and would definately be completed in the 20th century!

Now name some doctrines that they have been totally inconsistent with? bet y'all can think of loads.

And they have the audacity to claim they are Gods mouthpiece! Tis a disgrace

The mortality of the soul doctrine?

Hell/sheol/soul, I associated it as the ONE doctrinal basis that i can think of that they have been consistent with.

They havent even been consistant with their representation of the trinity! Jesus was the almighty god of Revelation, then he wasnt then he was now he isnt. If I am correct when Russell founded the Watchtower all the people working with him were trinitarian and the original Watchtowers were NOT anti Trinitarian, that is until the break with Barbour when Russel turned totally anti trinitarian....this also makes me wonder if they believed in the imortal soul at one stage.

I'm still trying to think of other doctrines they have been consistent with....drawing a blank

    Thanks UB

The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society rejects the concepts of

    1) Hell as a place of everlasting torment and

    2) A Triune God, and

    3) Christmas.

So do ATHEISTS, who manage to hold those beliefs without needing a spirit directed governing body to assist them.

Right Nathan, but apart from the hell/soul doctrine they have not been consistent in the other doctrines, particulary Christmas which they celebrated gleely and even promoted christmas presents in the WatchTower.

I was thinking maybe they have been consistent in their view of the 14000, yet they taught the 144000 was the Messiah/everlasting father/and the bread of life, if they dont teach this now they have not even been consistent with the 144000. They certainly havent been consistant in teaching only 144000 will go to heaven since they believed the Great crowd was also a secondry heavenly class.

Guess I'm still trying to work out how the mouthpiece of God can be so inconsistent in just about EVERYthing.

ah, you are right, then again, dont they treat every r&f JW as 2nd class people? Women must be third class.
