"Vienne: What do you believe Babylon the Great represents? Prove your assertion."

The scripture that opened my eyes to what Babylon the Great really is was Revelation 17:18

18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.”

So the verse in the Bible gives the meaning, it is a great city that is politically very powerful. It is also commercially very powerful, because the business of the world is in large extent dependent of this city as explained in Revelation 18. Also this city is the promoter of sexually disgusting things because she is said to be “Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the disgusting things of the earth.”

But Babylon the Great's murderous hatred of the holy ones and of the witnesses of Jesus has not in our time yet become evident, but it will.

So these aspects do not fit well the different religions of the world.

The Christian religions of the world do not hate witnesses of Jesus. To the contrary they are witnessing themselves about Jesus.

Revelation 17:6 And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.

"Leathercrop: And why would Jesus want to do this Kosonen? If at least one Christian church is teaching truth, why isn't it enough? Why not have the choice, like originally in the garden of Eden?"

Well, Jesus is the truth, the life and the way. We have the Bible were the truth is. Different christian religions are just doing their best to explain the Bible, but individuals can with the help of the holy spirit from God through Jesus Christ see what the truth is if their own weaknesses don't stop them.

So it is, the wheat and the weed is growing together just as Jesus said it would be. And our salvation is not given by a religious organization, but it will depend on how we individually respond to the word of God. And Jesus is the word of God.

Thx for further expanding on this. But what IS this salvation? What will we do once we're saved?

New York fits already well on much of the description of Babylon the Great.

Salvation to everlasting happy life. The great crowd will then do what Adam and Eve were supposed to do. The resurrected to earth will do the same. And the 144000 will for the first 1000 years work as kings and priests for mankind. This is really needed so that wickedness can't develope during the 1000 year reign.
