My point isn't directed just at you, I thought once Utopian explained their situation there would be an outpouring of love for them and Vash it didn't happen. I don't like to argue but I don't like to see good people leave the forum either. No after the first personal message when you responded the thread had kept going so I responded on that. My point in the first personal message was to explain how I felt. I don't feel I've called names and I don't see what you should be hurt anymore than I. Do I want to offend you or hurt you no of course not, do I want Vash and her family to stay and fell welcome yes, do I want skeptic to quit hijacking threads YES! I hope you see where I'm coming from.

As for what was said in chat Big Tex I was in there for awhile and I saw nothing that was out of line. I think I left before Seven came in.

NO, my point AGAIN was that if your concern was for Vash and her being to young that if you had PM Utopian it never would have turned into this thread from hell.

You know what......NO this wasn't an issue for PM. This is an issue that needs to be brought out in the open so that we are all aware that there are minors on the board...one in particular last night. I for one didn't have any idea that there were minors on the board. Call me nieve, but I didn't. Now that this issue has been brought out to the open, we can be more aware of the situation.

What....should we just sweep it under the run........quietly dance around the elephant in the living room? One problem I have w/some on this board is when something becomes "uncomfortable" for them, the answer is to not bring it to the open.

I do agree that this thread got sidetracked along the way. Totally took away from what was intended. BUT.......try to look at the good that came out of it. Everyone that replied got to explore their thinking on the subject. That is how we find out who we are and what we will or will not stand for.

I just thought when it said everyone welcome that is what it meant but I guess it doesn't. And what I said is if the concern was really for Vash being young and unsupervised that I personally would have PM UtopianR first to find out the situation. I never realized that the forum had an age limit or that chat was only for certain people.

Did I hurt her because HER MOTHER decided that they would leave the forum?

You have decided that this topic didn't need to be openly discussed, Sheila. Others may feel the same way. But there are yet others who believe that it should be discussed on the board. I'm sorry I didn't handle it the way you feel I should have. That is your opinion.

I think common sense would suggest that a minor child, going into a chatroom completly filled with adults, a chatroom that has a history of being off color, might not be the best plan and I don't think a single adult here should be chastised for pointing this out, as XW did.

Xena...you want to mice words with me when I sincerely doubt you sit w/a cup of hot coco w/ your kid and let her watch the interchange in chat while YOU are there...stop bullshitting.

For all of you that think this should be a kid friendly place then start creating those threads and make it so they will and do communicate here...then perhaps we can figure out how to keep youngs eyes from things you or others think they shouldn't see. As for your suggestion that some of or all of us should take adult conversation somewhere else, I invite you to do the same...I hope you enjoy discussing the latest boy band or whatever the hell it is that interests people of the age you intend on protecting...sex, violence, and the whole spectrum of adult subjects should be open and free discussions and if parents can't observe self control and the concept that their kids should be monitored here, (as if we should be some example in the face of your lack of proetection of their mental well being), then there is no hope and some should head your asses right back from whence you came, because nothing will ever be good enough for you. I'm not going anywhere and if some think I'm too crude or inappropriate then don't read it...same goes for the 12 year olds too...sheesh...screw me gently w/a chainsaw!
