THE PROBLEM WITH THESE 2 NEW GB MEMBERS APPOINTMENTS

Some loved the ZOOM meetings and still linger there now that COVID is over.
I can see a GB member help them sell off the Kingdom Halls while they build whole new Assembly Hall communities, complete with hotels and ice cream parlors and coffee shops that they rent out or even own.

And I remember quite a few years ago about them bragging about some new assembly hall in Orangeburg, SC or some such place where the extremely "level" floor got awards for being so level. Who would want a level floor? A proper stage with a sloping floor would be best, and is the current most popular hall- best for seeing the stage.
But I think such places are built to be converted into warehouses in the near future. I can see WT building all new assembly halls, telling the members to ZOOM regular meetings until it's time to bring your money to the assembly hall every couple of months (no need for that valuable land where your Kingdom Hall was), then sell the assembly hall when they get a bunch of volunteers to build another one nearby because the old one was worn out. Meanwhile, the old place was sold for a profit off the free labor of JW's, to become a trucking warehouse or a rock concert hall.

You need a real estate expert to figure that all out.

They might only need Assembly Hall communities. And have 1 meeting a week and several smaller CONventions throughout the year.

If I understand correctly, some places in the U.S. already have a 1 meeting per week platform. If I'm not mistaken as one youtuber pointed out the other day.

I know some Kingdom Halls are shared by 3 and sometimes 4 congregations. The logistics of getting all the meetings scheduled in a week creates a lot of headaches. I could see them cutting back on the midweek meeting at some point.

So far as I know the one-week halls are where travel is long. One I knew about (Wyoming) had 100 miles so everything was Sunday

Zoom here has 25 to 40 cameras with only 2 or 3 pictures shown. Many elderly, sick, single sisters in rough neighborhoods.

    ON THE WAY OUT:
Yes, it’s obvious to the Witness religion that when the Baby Boomers pass away, that’s it.

The youngest boomer is now 60 years old. For anyone from that generation, the org is so different already, imagine how it's going to look in another 10 yrs.

The org was built on the backs of boomers, their children, their free labour and donations. Remember the exciting days of the quick builds in the 80's and 90's combined with exponential growth in the org, all happening within the same generation of 1914? Well that's all gone now.

The org has taken possession of every building and sold the ones that don't make economical sense - regardless of the impact to the members. Armageddon still isn't here and the org now produces country music videos for fucks sake.

I don't know how the older JW's don't feel sick to their stomach.

    JOEY JO JO:

Yes, I remember all the Boomers when we were young!

You would not believe the die-hard arrogance and smugness that I witnessed back when the JW religion was in its heyday! (Late seventies all through the eighties and so on).. These people thought they were going to march into the new world hand in hand. They were especially critical of me with my full time job. You didn’t pioneer? Nobody would bother with you.. Well, I had no choice but to keep on working and I let these attitudes roll off my back.

When I began my ‘Fade’ it was before tablets and JW dot org and the screen up front showing words to the awful songs. I was surrounded by responsible people. No panhandlers yet.

Well, all the die-hards are now senior citizens. Some have passed away. Some did well $$ others did not. For those who can’t pay their bills because they forever pioneered, they should go ask their ‘spiritual’ friends for help! I wonder what the remainder of the JWs think about the religion.

I can’t imagine anything more depressing than sitting in a Kingdom Hall growing old. To me, it’s all a big slap in the face and I’m glad I got out years ago while I had a little youth left!

    Joey Jojo;

    Armageddon isnt coming.

I'm not near senior citizens age yet,, but I can relate to the generation brought up in the 1980s & 90s.

Quick builds,, exponentially growth. All this before the 1914 generation runs out blah,, blah ,, blah,,,

    Those fundamental things blown away...

The borg took over all the properties. Must be very depressing sitting there in half empty KHs growing old & dwindling numbers.

    DoC

Lives on hold forever. For something which will never happen..

The $heeples are sold that "Armageddon fear" & they buy it year after year. When that fear is no longer being sold,,, the $$$$$,,, and free labor & control is gone !!
