I have yet to meet any other active JWs since I left. I'm still trying to figure out if that's good or bad.

LOL at Scully and Sphere. I'll bet after you've done that a few times, you probably don't see many jws any more if they see you first. They'd scatter like cockroaches when you turn the lights on.

I never see JW's, ever. On the other hand I saw one the other day [the first for many years] in his car outside the JW's house who lives across the road. He was staring at me very intently. Maybe, that's because I don't look like the quite and shy s nivelling type I looked like before. Anyway, I thought it was quite funny how he could be so interested in me.

depends on where I am. If I am at a restaurant, I usually go up to them and say, 'uh I thot you shoulf know---you have something stuck in your teeth...' or if I am at a store I will say 'your blouse is unbuttoned' or 'your zipper is down' and when they look I say 'made ya look! made ya look!' and walk away laughing. or if I know their names I will have them paged over the store speaker, just to say Hi.

Ravyn I love your attitude.
I've always thought, they feel uncomfortable, when they see you, so why not help them along............to relax........... to the point of defecation.

Most of them shun me, but if they are visiting Mom (a rare occasion) and I pop in, they are ever so friendly. I am cool to them, but I don't shun them. If by chance they speak to me, I reply as if they think I'm a real person.
Haven't quite figured out how to get them good. Some good suggestions here.

Just had some from the spanish congregation come to the door this morning I said "You guys Jehovah's Witnesses?" He says yes. I say " Yeah I used to be one too." He says "well you have a nice day."
I smile and say "yeah, good luck to ya guys."

We are not offically DF/DA or offically shunned. We are unoffically shunned, even by my brother. the few JWs that i was actually friends with will still speak if i see them out in a public place, however, i had an elder CANGE LANES on the street the other day to avoid haivng to look at me. He is one i know well. My policy now, i don't go up to them anymore-if they care to speak to me-fine i'll be pleasant. As long as they are pleasnt, so will i be. A few times i have been actaully snubbed recently-i just pretend not to notice and put on my happy face. they hate to see anyone happy that has left.
to add, as i said a week or so back, my own husband has been shunning me b/c of this board. We have had long series of talks, and i have let him know will not tolerate this. he can just get off his 'high horse" as they say. This has hurt more than anything. but he is showing signs of coming around. I just have to keep praying and bringing up points from the board. I read this to him often.
