Well they do have tennis courts there and swimming pools.

The married couples will have lots of time to do some Rub A Dub.

Single people will lots of time to get personally intimate with their pillows.

Finkelstein! I think the single people will most likely be doing some Self Rub A Dub.

while at the same time they speak/describe the many restrictions they're forced to live by. It's a long list of do's and don'ts...or else!

    @JW GoneBad ...

Yes. A few of the people I know there are Bethel "lifers." What options do they really have? You just smile and as you say, put on a happy face. Their options are very limited. Perhaps more correctly to say, they have no other options.

Letter just recently given out at Wallkill Bethel HQ .......

Brothers and sisters it has just recently come to the attention to the GB members that since the shutdown of are operations that many of are daily workers have been spending a lot of time in their rooms alone.

Some have taken upon themselves to view pornography on their computers influencing these ones to masturbate using many things in their rooms including their bedroom pillows.

Being that it is are responsibility to look after the righteous purity of are Bethel family, we are directing the room managers to remove all pillows in all sleeping rooms.

This is to remove any temptation that may arise (no pun intended)

The suggestion of using folding towels instead of pillows on the beds seems like a good idea.

I hope you find this decision helpful in protecting your righteousness while staying at are worldwide Headquarters.

Sincerely with brotherly love Anthony Morris

As for those bethel ‘lifers’ you know who have ‘no other options’:..what happens if the JW religion decides to let another group of bethelites go like they have done over the last decade or so??

What would these people do since there are halls being sold all over the place, fewer congregations to go TO and even fewer Witnesses to beg handouts from?

Far as I know LHG there is no retirement fund for long time Bethel workers, so if they are removed they would probably look for hand outs from their families, that and hand outs from their local governments.

The GB members and their wives on the other hand will always sit on and use the WTS's money for themselves that's for sure.

Money is the life blood to this organization if you deeply look at it.

    FINKELSTEIN:

Yes, I know there is no retirement fund for longtime bethel workers! When they got kicked out they had to depend on family, etc.

I imagine some of them are employed by now. Others opted to be sp. pioneers in the congregation getting a stipend and expecting handouts.. I’m glad I’m not in the JW religion anymore because they would get nothing from me!

When the first bunch got let go from bethel all those years ago, the thought that came to mind is that any OTHER bethelites still there had better make plans just in case...

If they didn’t..well good luck to them.

    LongHairGal ...

The "lifers" I know and was referring to are ones that my family have known since the time of Christ and don't have much life left ... if you get my drift.

    RUB A DUB:

Yes, I get your drift. These particular bethel ‘lifers’ sound very old..I presume that the JW religion would be decent enough to keep THEM til the very end.

But..any other bethelites there between the ages of 45 and death had better have some emergency phone numbers and a plan B - in the event they get a letter slipped under their door!.. I don’t think anybody can assume that nobody else would be let go!

Yes, several are "up there" in age and known by many. Nothing can realistically happen to them. They are part of the furniture.

It's the younger ones, as you mention, in the 40's to 60's that should sleep with one eye open.
