  I saw her on Will and Grace, and it just showed that she really can't act. It was way too forced. ( I did like her in "Desperately Seeking Susan" ).

  Madonna is a diva- bitch who is too big for her britches. Do I like some of her music? yes. I just don't appreciate her holier than thou attitude. When she thinks she is losing popularity, she reinvents herself to satisfy the masses. She thinks she is way more talented than she is too. There are so many people with loads more talent then she. She's just really good at manipulating her image and the people that like her.

  First I agree that she is not the best actress with the exception of Desperately Seeking Susan (I Haven't seen Evita yet) and I thought her performance on Will and Grace was just awful.

  But I find it funnie that when someone is a success (and yes she is a succes many times over) people tend to be more if not overly ciritical.

  Someone made the statement about her wanting to protect her daughter. Well if it was reversed then all you would be doing is saying what a bad parent she is. You can't have it both ways. All your statement shows is that she is doing her best to be the best parent she can. Why is that so wrong. So her values have changed over the years...big deal that happens to everyone.

  I give Madonna much credit for being able to reinvent herself in so many ways. It shows not only that she has no problem with change and moves ahead with the times but also that she is extremely creative.

  For all those that think she's a "dumbass" I'd like to see you do what she does even for a day.

  We for some reason when it comes to celebrities forget that they are people just like us that change and grow. Why is she not allowed to do so?

  You expressed my sentiments exactly. Now that she has realized the impact that music stars can have on the morality and thinking of others, she should do the decent thing and donate the cash she earned during her less enlightened phase to charities that deal with the aftermath of her reign....lol Pigs also might fly. I remember a few years ago spending the weekend with a very well known rock musician, whose name I cannot divulge, but who was well known for his proactive stance on a censorship free media. You can imagine my amazement when he castigated a member of his crew for swearing in front of his young son and then would not allow the drugs that he freely used, to be used inside his home. When I tackled him on this issue he just grinned and said, "You should know, that is just business, this is me". As I retorted,"Unfortunately F****, the kids do not know the difference".

  These people are in a unique position that few of us ever are. They can influence millions of minds very easily and with this nightmarish power comes a heavy responsibility, a responsibility incidentally, that many celebrities do recognize. Her critics were active from day one and have not just found a band-wagon to roll along on. Celebrities are just people it is true, some remember that and some do not.

  I was disappointed that she pulled her anti war video after her accountants protested. Really shows her up for what she really is.....Why not make a statement based on your views and convictions and damn the outcome? Very telling.....

  I am glad Madonna has matured to some degree. Having children must have really made her take a good, long, hard look at herself. She is trying to become a good parent to her children by setting a good example for them. I know I know it is probably in vain. Her kids are going to grow up and see how she was before they came along. Hopefully, it will not affect them in any negative way. I said " hopefully".

  I will add a little more in the spirit of Madonna Bashing:

  She cannot act or sing!!!! He fake accent has got to go!!!!!!!!!!

  But, I do enjoy her music.

  ThiChi, Well, I will indulge her a little on this one as the decision was probably not hers to make, unless of course she provided the investment herself for the music, which is highly unlikely. When she said, "I have decided not to launch the video', she really meant, 'I have been instructed not to launch the video'. To acknowledge other peoples decisions over her career would not gel too well with the fans! Best regards - HS

  I assumed that she has total creative control, including making the calls on her work, like most Big music acts.....if this is not the case, then I proceeded from a false assumption, which was wrong on my part.

  Think about it folks:

  1. Shes the American pop queen (make it the world) everybody has danced and sung out loud her music one time or another.

  2. She has enough money for everyone on this board to live comfortable for the rest of our lives.

  3. She finally settling down into a family and has new values and she wants to express them????

  I personally didnt see the interview, but im sure she was just speaking her mind as usual.

  and heck i dont care what anyone thinks about it.
