I can't see how they could enforce anything involving social media unless there are public comments back and forth on each profile.

Otherwise, there are various levels of interactions on social media. Some rarily use their accounts or post comments, so therefore may not feel the need "unfriend" a df one.

I imagine it could get pretty messy trying to police social media interactions. What if someone forgets there password and can't access their account and remains "friends" with a df one, will they have to explain?

I guess JW elders would come down on the side that DFed people should not be on your friend list. Essentially it could be a judicial matter. The question is would they seek out the information, or be brazen enough to make an issue out of it.

The obvious solution, if JW elder policing of Facebook became widespread, would be for ordinary JWs to make their friend lists private.

In which case maybe especially officious elders might complain "I can't access the page to see who is on your friend list".

Surely that would never actually happen. But who knows.

Hmmm so my dad has been df for 2.5 years now ,never wanted to be df and has been trying to come back ever since ,I mean really trying ! Going to all the meetings , he's on his 6th reinstatement request now and this time it was denied because he doesn't show enough repentance ,wtf they could just say we don't like you that would make more sense , meanwhile his 3 other children shun him and he has no friends or any human compassion from the people he held dear all his life ,makes me sick ,I get protection of the Congo but people get abused by their awol mentality and rules

Brilliant counterarguments in response to the hypocrisy of the heavily one-sided arguments in that Watchtower article.

For the Watchtower to show even a skerrick of acknowledgement or understanding of the moral and ethical difficulties faced by those who have left would bring the organization's house of cards tumbling down.

Hence the need for the organization's writers to demonise those who've left and ignore its blatant hypocrisy.

This is their only recourse, people are leaving and media is educating people so in order to try and stop the bleeding they get even worse then before. I think they only continue this way until they snap. Their just to arrogant to do it any other way.
