The US intelligence couldn't stop 9/11, so now you're going to tell us it's our fault. Don't ask us to protect your borders, that's your job.

Now you're going to start accusing us of harboring terrorists so you can find reason to invade us also? We didn't set the borders you did (more than likely), so live with that and leave us to our own decisions.

I think you guys are seriously looking for fights. But remember, you are only about 4% of total population. You might have the guns, but you might run out of people to shoot them.

And JH, Canada might be in North America, but we don't call ourselves Americans do we? You don't have to kiss their asses you know.

All I hope for, is for our elected officials to stand up to this blackmail and Mr Bush & Co.. I hope Canada wakes up and finds other trading partners. There are plenty of people to sell products to than the US, and besides we always have to do it out of obligation. In other words.."we'll give you a good deal cause you're friends". But you guys never give us a good deal, and we have to accept your decisions as our decisions. Many times when our products are cheaper, you stop us from exporting them to your country, because your businessmen cry that we are hurting their markets. Free trade my ass.

We weren't particularly fond that you invaded Iraq, but we kept our mouths shut the best we could. We didn't participate cause we knew what it was all about and wanted no part of it. But if you're gonna put a financial knife to our throat, we might just have to fight back.

But remember, we are not being the bad neighbours, you are.

He implied the Chrétien Liberals were naïve and have no plans to deal with the "explosion" of high-potency pot — which he called the crack cocaine of marijuana — being grown in British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario.

LOL, how many have smoked themselves to death on Crack, now how many have smoked themselves to death on pot. Give me a break, you friggin moron. How hard is it to become a canadian?

I think the USA is just annoyed because they spend all that money on police and arms and seem to have a society always on the brink and a world against them and there is little Canada ... easy going and everyone's friend.

what a preposterous statement.....yes, the u.s. government is simply jealous that canada has a friendlier standing with the rest of the world! it couldnt have anything to do with the fact that canada is a virtual safe haven for terrorism, which could be a bit dangerous considering canadas location in relation to the u.s, could it?? look at the latest u.s. actions in the world (ahem, iraq), and then tell me how badly the u.s. yearns for friendly relationships with everyone.............do you people actually believe the rubbish you spout? try thinking without an agenda.......

without having to repeat them, i echo hillarys statements on the subject.

So what your saying is, to get people to love you , you bomb the crap out of them!!! Because of this fact and US's foreign policies, they are now one of the most hated countries in the world.

actually i was saying the exact opposite.....simon was implying that the u.s. was jealous of canadas "friendly" relationships, and i was basically saying, "if the u.s. was worried about making friends, they have a funny way of going about it"........in other words, the actions of the u.s. show that making friends isnt exactly tops on the list of "to do" items. it was an example to show just how ridiculous simons suggestion was.

And of course the reason that Canada can spend so much on its social programmes rather than defence and be "everyone's friend" is because Canada is right next door to the United States and knows that the US wouldn't stand by while Canada was attacked.

Quite wny Canada would wish to be "everyone's friend" in a world with regimes like North Korea's, Iran's Syria's and the mercifully defunct Saddam is a mystery.
