  Whoa, where did you get that information that the Russian government is going to kill anybody who practices the JW religion ? , your getting bit over emotional are you not ?

  For the record. I'm not for the Russian government seizing JWS property and assets or killing them for that matter and I expect they wont. Perhaps short prison terms and maybe fines.

  This is 2017 not the 1940's
  

  You have to also accept the fact that being banned is going to slow down the growth of the JWS in Russia which is a good thing over all.

  I remember when jws who did not go into the compensatory military, would be put in jail, released, and then arrested again; Spain, Korea come to mind.

  No boo hoo by the WTS because they lost nothing or little materially because of it. What bothers the WTS is that Russia has confiscated their material things the same thing that bothered Rutherford when the WTS had their property/material things confiscated by Hitler.

  As I said before, the Kremlin has a documented history of imprisoning, torturing, and killing political dissidents. This is just how it starts. You think they're going to announce their human rights violations to the world?

  The Washington Post this morning said that practicing JWs face a term of 6-10 years in prison (and if the U.S.'s prison system is flawed and could use a lot of improvement, I don't even want to imagine what Russian prisons are like). That's not a short sentence, and it's not right. That could derail and ruin your entire life and future. Even if that's the only thing they faced and not bodily harm, it's a pretty shitty penalty for holding stupid religious beliefs (just like a majority of the globe does). The Post also reported assault and vandalism against JWs. I believe it. A Muslim coworker of mine from Egypt (different lady than my best friend in the Army) had a second job working for UPS, and a week after 9/11 she was dragged out of her UPS truck and beat up by complete strangers calling her a terrorist and screaming for her to get out of the country. And the Muslim religion wasn't even banned. This has put a target on JWs' heads, and again, they are pacifists, so it's a pretty unfair and uneven fight. This is not a ruling to celebrate.

  I would expect he WTS to legally fight for its assets in Russia and would I also guess they would win to keep what they own but how they are going to sell it and how much will the WTS retain remains to be seen.

  So, . . . now what?, for Russia and JWs? Are there any pro-active ex-JWs in Russia? What could they possibly do now with the ban? Will they be able to reach any JWs (or inquiring ones) via the internet (using YouTube there)? Of course, JWs (leaving or inactive) will fear being even caught by Russian government on any topics even by a pro-active ex-JW?

  Would Russia try to 'de-program' any imprisoned JWs with ex-JW sites, YouTubes, books written by ex-jws. Is 'jwfacts.com' in Russian?

  I expect the JW 'caves', 'basements', will only become deeper now. But some will leave JWs for a variety of reasons now.

  I'm also not for the Russian government to take people's assets or even the WTS for that matter and certainly not for long term prison sentences.
  

  JWS are not violent criminals, they may not be well educated and maybe not too bright but that doesn't equate to be treated like harden criminals.

  We are all aware that the WTS are not the only religion under scrutiny in Russia.

  USA evangelicals, scientology, SDA, Moslems and all minority groups considered *unorthodox* to *Russian Nationalism.* also !

  The refugee crises has ignited a new *Nationalistic* spirit within Europe, USA and else where ...Islamic ISIS.

  It will be interesting to see the WTS GB's reaction IF it hits them personally, here in USA, considering the current GOP hypocritical *religious nationalism* (America First/ USA supreme court ? ) is giving *more power to some religious institutions* to be more outspoken without fear of losing their tax exemption. Minority religions will not fair well, MADJW (and subsequently WTS JWs) will be a prime target for the HATE he spews against ALL christians. He is still active on TOPIXS..lol

  Wish I knew how to do it....how do you make a suggestion like that....that would make to much sense...if the GB's really cared about them, they would get them out of there....but, then there is persecution...how can they be persecuted if they pull out of Russia....

  Now just think of the Headlines.....JW's ban together to bring Russian JW's out of Russia, by JW contribution of just $2 per week per person....that headline could outweigh the one where they may be exposed about child molestation...I think this would be a good move and would make them look real good...

  Can't suggest it..I'm just a woman....and we ain't got enough sense to know snakes don't talk.....

  Maybe someone will send a letter from readers and suggest we all (approx. 8 million) should give $2 per week to bring our Friends home....undercover...

  The seven SOBs in Warwick castle will now encourage Russian JWs to preach underground and the poor saps- the over zealous and over indoctrinated- will follow orders and be arrested and undergo all that customary gulag hospitality has to offer, while these fat scumbags will gloat over "what's happening to our dear brothers in Russia", put an emotional spin on the sufferings of those poor saps, guilt bomb the 8 million to do more-read DONATE MORE- and sit back ,fly thither and beyond first class- maybe buy their own plane- gobble more juicy beef steaks from the black angus' on the farm and think up new spins to milk this Moscow cow. While more Rusian sheep are slaughtered. Their fat asses will get definitely get fatter.

  This Russian debacle is a cash boon in disguise. The Jdubs graduate from writing letters to the Russian govt. To writing cheques in favor of the watchtower govt.
