The fading of a well known American religion. Could this happen someday to Jehovah's Witnesses?

    BALAAMSASS2:

Yes, I believe it is possible that they could join the ranks of other defunct U.S. religions.

But, I believe the tenacious Witness religion will go the televangelist route and see how long that lasts!

The Borg is taking that TV evangelist route.

Taking longer to pivot from publications, printed material,,,, to that of TV evangelist. October 2014. Enter JW broadcasting.

Transitioning to real estate. Cutting the bethellites,, true victims.

The remainder of the bethellites,,, please do plan an escape. Inflation is sky high.

The Borg does NOT have your interests at heart.

Too bad they wouldn’t believe it.

They would cling to false stories about a ‘brotherhood’.. Not that I should be sorry for people who made derogatory remarks about people like me who worked…but the religion does owe them.. Instead, they will get a kick in the a$$ and end up in congregations acting like they are entitled. Which is why I’m Glad I’m not there.

Meanwhile the religion probably will do what some suspected… And if Dan on Life After Religion’s predictions are right, they’ll sell all the halls and go online - leaving everybody (bethelites & rank n file).. stranded and high and dry. (Anybody see a picture of a little boat on a sandbar after the tide went out?)

They will all wonder what happened to their Rock of Gibraltar religion!

    White noise coming from headquarters.

A spinning white circle on the screen or something saying "no signal".

Witnesses wont no what to do.

The new members of the GB are in a real bind. They have been handed down unwanted doctrines that will be difficult to get out of. This is why Jeff Winder and the other new guy admitted they didn’t want to be GB when they were asked.

These two will be left in a sticky situation in a few years when the older members die off.

They will have to address 1914, then 1919 as old light. The new light will be that we just don’t know.

they have reaped all the benefits of these lies for so long that it’s going to be very difficult to go back on them now, but it’s inevitable as we get so far away from 1914.

    There will be consequences.

One option is a big shake up, once the older members of the GB have died off over the next few years.

maybe do away with the GB system as we know it. A new name for an anonymous group and a new fresh approach that we just don’t know.

Yes JWs as they are known today will die off. What comes after will be interesting to see…..

The new light will be that we just don’t know.

They might try to sell that as NEW LIGHT, but it is obvious that they have NEVER KNOWN. Ain't nothing new about that!

Yes it’s a huge red flag that they used to say they knew and now say they don’t.

What else do they claim they know right now that in the future they will have to admit that they don’t know and never did.

They are throwing old deceased GB members under the bus.

What will it take for the average JW to realise that this is just a human run organisation?

WTC would like for the members to believe that they are new and are "turning the page" with New light. NEWSFLASH: WTC has been in the drivers seat for 145 years (1879 - 2024). If they had anything substantive to offer, they would/could have done so 100 years ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if Russell & Rutherford's WTBTS follows a path similar to H & G Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God: casting off their most peculiar doctrines, loss of members, and becoming another tele-evangelical group. Also note how similar many of their doctrines are!
