Take any number the Org puts out with a massive grain of salt.

The pandemic and anti-vax and MEGA movements have normalized making reality just a subjective matter now. It is more important to believe in something strongly than have any real facts to back it up. It is perfectly acceptable to be a narcissist fucktard that just believe what they want.

Sadly , I don't think the numbers are lying. We have entered into a new golden age of cults and generally stupidity.

There may be mistakes and occasional inflated numbers at a local level. I am sure there are. But the overwhelming evidence from decades of census results in various countries is that JW numbers are accurate, or in fact understated compared with the published figures of other religious groups.

Zoom meetings=older, disabled, can't see at night, don't have to dress (Camara off). Add making excuses about the above. Boring meetings so turn on zoom and d o something else

From my observation Zoom means that fewer people attend the KH now, but that more people attend overall if you count Zoom. So, for example, if a congregation had 100 before the pandemic, now there are about 80 in the KH and about 40 on Zoom. Is that an increase or a decrease? Because it works both ways. There are some people who would have come into the KH who no longer do. There are others who attend on Zoom now who didn’t attend before Zoom.

Zero point looking at numbers when it comes to org. They have made so many changes to how they count things. You can pretty much do 1 second service and never visit a hall and still considered a JW 😅. Only way to look at health of org is how many visit in person meetings. How many attend assembly. How many attend d2d work. How's the enthusiasm and zeal.

As of November 2023, ordinary Jehovah’s Witness ‘publishers’ only need to tick a box each month to be counted as active members, replacing the requirement to report the number of hours spent preaching; this change along with a renewed appeal to lapsed members resulted in a reported increase of 2.4% for 2024, exceeding 2% growth for the first time since 2014. However, despite the superficially significant increase, the average annual growth rate from 2018 until 2024 was actually only 0.92%.

In 1989 I told you the SED won the DDR elections. Today I tell you every European country has an increase of JW.

    E.K.
