TheListener - The fact that my wife believes this and tries to teach it to others in her rare field service outings amazes me. I can't imagine how insane anyone but an indoctrinated person would think this teaching is.

The sheep have been more interested in trying to understand the concept that they overlook the most important thing and that is whether the concept is viable in the first place.

Prologos: think of a scripture about the term generation" and then he mentioned one about Joseph or something like that?---it was Exodus 1:6 " eventually Joseph died, and his brothers, and all that generation" The implication being that people of all ages were in Joseph's generation, but it was a dead generation of all ages, not continuous overlappers, the wt theory is been thoroughly debunked in previous threads.

Indeed it has but I was merely pointing out the OP's point that they did actually use a scripture to try and prove their point...if we went to a dub and said "pfffft they never even used a scripture to try and prove it" the dub would respond with that they did and that we must just be bitter, mentally diseased apostates!

Wt not only tried to stretch the generation, making it longer, they also are asserting it covers a shorter time. because "Jesus" decreed that the generation would include, or see the final destruction (of Jerusalem, the world), but wt writers say: no!, the anointed overlappers will pass away before the final destruction*.

They shorten the time covered, but try to stretch it by packing more (2 consecutively living groups) into it.
