Menlo Park should be an eye opener for any JW who has ever donated to support their own KH. I have never heard the followup on all the elders who were kicked out. Anyone out there know?

I had two JWs (men) come around the end of last summer who must have been working the area.
I was polite to them and gave a very general story about myself and what I went through in the religion as a working person. I told them I would not be interested in going back and I told them goodbye!

She was actually alone.
The two young, handsome, clean-cut guys were obviously her invisible angelic bodyguards, there to make sure you didn’t rape, murder, and cannibalize her - not necessarily in that order - and they only allowed you to see them.

Some JWs are just bound to never wake up.
Sometimes I wonder if its just a complete fluke,, that some JWs actually do come to & wake up.

I agree that 99% of the time anti- Witnessing is a waste of breath But there was some thing about this sister that drew me to her. Her appearance did not reflect what I saw in her eyes. There was not only kindness but intelligence and possibly tragedy there too.
Maybe it takes one to know one. In any case, I wanted talk to her and I actually felt better about myself after I did. The rest is up to her.

Jws are programmed to NOT ''wake up"".
Beth: It's true JWs are programmed not to wake up. Yet, This board and all the other exJW sites are FULL of people who DID wake up. After all, we did.
However, it takes something or someone to spark enough anger or curiosity to honestly examine their own religion.
Life changes. Circumstances change, People change, and most of all the Borg is constantly changing their minds. So never say never.
