I think it will be at least a generation before American soccor is up to world standards. I dont think you people in Europe understand how much we HATE soccor here. Some sports news shows will not even cover it and dont consider it a sport.

Or on the other hand we could do what we always do, let all the good soccor players that live in sh*thole countries immigrate here and play for us.

Seriously, I would love to see the US embrace soccer and be able to give us a run for our money.

This is a fun post folks, let the Brits pull your collective legs occasionally.

Obviously, you need a little brush up on the rules. You cannot have foreign players in your national team.

As I understand it, the Brits are really good at: Baseball, American football, Horse Racing, Tennis, and basketball. Did I get that right, E-man???????????

However, I have a sneaky feeling that Americans might well be lacking in the genetic skills department when it comes to actually understanding the finer points of the noble art of soccer, let alone having any natural aptitude for the game.

That's absurd. The same thing could of been said about Europeans and basketball 10 yrs ago. Nowadays, you see all sorts of European players able to compete in the NBA.

The main prob I have with soccer is you see all that effort, for little or nothing in return. Lots of games seem to bedecided by penalty kicks, instead of the surrounding or preceding 3 hrs of mind-numbing sprinting around a vast expanse of green.

Speak for yourself! I think soccer is a great sport. I realize that many American sports fans have a deep prejudice and disdain towards soccer. This attitude mystifies me.

    LET'S GO CREW!!!!!!!!

I don't hate soccer per se but I find it dull. Not enough scoring or, violence to make up for the lack of scoring. I mean violence by the participants, not the fans...LOL!
