Boy do I know the feeling, Hamas. Sorry you are going through this. I too have lost what I felt to be very close friends. It is hard to see them and they they turn their heads like I am a complete stranger. I still think of them and wonder if they think of me. I just have to realize that they too are victims and what they are doing they feel is right. Since I left, I have made real friends who love me unconditionally, not someone who cares for me because of how much time I turn in, how much I comment at meetings, how many talks I give in the ministry school...etc.

Hamas, I really liked what Odrade posted! You never know that one day our loved ones will leave the org. I haven't given up hope for my family, but I will say this...over time it gets eaiser. I can actually be around my j.w. family and it doesn't bother me. After awhile, I learned to accept it. It hasn't been easy, by no means, but now I just don't care anymore.

We learn to form new family and a new circle of friends. See, I've just made one in you!!!

Sorry to hear what you're going through Hamas. This is probably the reason why I never let myself get incredibly close to anyone at the Hall. Everyone I made friends with ditched me. One friend of mine got a girlfriend, then I never heard from him again. Another friend moved to BC.

However, there is one instance where I got lucky. The best friend I ever had in the Hall moved to Ecuador. He's returned since then, and he's no longer a JW. Give your friend some time Hamas. People can change. Until something like that happens, you can't let it continue to drag you down. You have to continue on with your life. However, if your friend leaves the borg, he's going to need some support himself.

Hamas, I just read this post and I am sorry you have to bear the malicious energy from you *best friend*. This happened to me from someone I just never expected it! It still hurts and that was 6 yrs ago. I think that's why this forum is so special. We've survived the cult! That makes it so much easier to accept all here as individuals yet also we know enough about WTS b***t that we can help one another.
