How many on this board are planning to see The Hulk this weekend?
Do you think the movie will make $100,000 in its opening weekend?
I want to place a bet on line that it will.
Thanks!

Are you asking will The hulk make 1million or did you mean 100 million. I think a million easily. comic book heroes have been big hits here lately . Don't think it makes 100 million opening week but will do alright .
I mean 100 Thousand Opening Weekend.
I gotta say, it looks kind of lame from the advertisements.
I don't know why the hell they decided to use computer animation for the Hulk. He looks totally unbelievable! He looks like a stinking cartoon.
The old TV series was awesome! And the hulk WAS believable! When I was little, I was both terrified and transfixed by that show.

I will be seeing it,but on cheap nite....
THE REVIEWS DON'T LOOK FAVORABLE.
LACKS IN PLOT AND STORYLINE ALTHOUGH THE ACTING RECIEVED PASSING MARKS..
THE HULK LEAPING FROM MOUTAINTOP TO MOUNTAINTOP AS HE IS PURSUED BY THE MILITARY?
I HEARD THE CGI WASN'T TOP NOTCH EITHER. VERY CARTOONISH.
I'LL WATCH THE ALREADY RELEASED DVD RIP ON THE NET AND SAVE THE 13 DOLLARS. ;^p

Like you said once again, 100 thousand. Easily. It'll make several million (one million being a thousand thousands). At 7 or 8 dollars a ticket, it's possible some theaters will gross 100 thousand all by themselves.
I used to love the Hulk TV series when I was a kid, but something about this movie looks too CGI. I liked Spiderman, but my biggest criticism was that a lot of it looked too CGI. The movements just didn't look real. Too fast, too fluid, not like any actual being (even a superhero) would move. The Hulk trailers I've seen look even worse than Spiderman did. And the Hulk, while looking very close to what I remember of the comic book one, just looks too unrealistic.
I know I was just a kid, so I might not have been as critical, but Lou Ferrigno was at least a man under all that makeup. His movements were real because a person was doing them, not a computer. And, even the overall look was good because it was a real face (with a makeup forehead and hair).
This new movie (at least from the trailers) looks like it moves too fast and too fluid. Kinda like the effects enhanced martial arts movies like The One or the Matrix. While I marvelled at the effects for the sake of the effects, I think those fast-paced scenes take away from the movie because it reminds you just how much it's just a computer effect, not important to the scene or story.
I doubt I'll go see Shrek The Hulk on the first weekend, but I'll likely see it sometime. I was always a fan of Marvel Comics when I was a kid.
