    I am such a bonehead.

    I really meant 100 Million.

Spiderman made $114 million last year its opening weekend. That was May 3rd, 2002

I think it will make it. I already placed my bet. I put up $100 to win $1,000

Wish me luck and support me. Please, Pretty Please, go see the Movie.

    MrsQ,

I know what you mean about it looking too animated. When I first saw the preview for the Hulk it really caught my attention. That was a year or so back. They never showed the actual Hulk in the short previews they were showing at that time.

I was so excited for the release but now that I see the Hulk I am not impressed. He is too animated.

I still think it will make $100 million or more this weekend. Call me Crazy. I hope I do not have to eat my words.

THE HULK LEAPING FROM MOUTAINTOP TO MOUNTAINTOP AS HE IS PURSUED BY THE MILITARY?

Hoody, I kinda remember him doing that in the comics, but I'll have to see the trailer.

Sandy. I was feeling sorry for ya there. I think we all know what you meant. Blonde moment perhaps? I was going to chip in " I think 100,000 people will see it on opening weekend, just to make you feel better.

I hope the CGI don't spoil the film like in Spiderman. That was my beef with the movie too. It just didn't feel fluid, or maybe it was too fluid.

I'll probably go see it. I enjoyed Hulk comics as a kid.

Now if they would just make a movie about the Fantastic Four.

The Thing vs the Hulk !

The thing that I've seen some people say that they are dissapointed about is that it's not more like the television show. But this movie is supposed to be based on how the hulk really is in the comic book.

The real comic book hulk, which was around long before the Lou Ferigno TV hulk would have accidentally mashed the TV hulk without a second thought. The real comic book hulk was almost 10 feet tall, weighed a ton, could jump a mile into the air in a single bound and could lift over 100 tons. Without digital CGI animations, how could they really do justice to the original comic book hulk.

    Descender,

I am not really a fan of comics but I did read somewhere that they are basing the Hulk on the comic strip.

So hopefully there are enough Hulk comic fanatics, Hulk TV show fans, and others to make it reach $100 million.

For those complaining about the cgi , it's based on a friggen comic book for cyin out loud. I agree the TV show was excellent we used to sit around and watch that in my family but they did change the Hulk character to please a more mature audience . I do have an entire collection of Hulk comic books myself so am interested in seeing the new effects so the HULK can mimic the comic book better. PUNY Humans grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    Ok, I gotta chime in.

First of all, huge Marvel comics fan, been waiting like forever for them to start making cool movies based on my favorite comics. Not that X-Men and Spiderman were perfect films, but so much better than lame 70's tv shows or Saturday morning cartoon versions.

So I like the idea of a Hulk movie that is a little closer to the comic than the TV show was. But the CGI so far looks very cheesy. They can make dinosaurs, they can make Jar-Jar, they should be able to make the Hulk. And if they change the storyline too much, it will not help.

Why they didnt have him up against his arch memesis the "Leader" , I will never know. It would have been totally logical, I thought, to have the green and brainless hulk up against the green genius "Leader". I'll never understand Hollywood. The hulk movie stars yet another Aussie called Eric Bana. Hes a comedian I believe, and he blasted into public notice here in Oz in a film called "Chopper". A Totally amazing Aussie movie. It should be watched by all cinema fans who love creativity in their film.It breaks the stereotype
