So I am adopting this little gaffer. He's footless, but he can fly, hop about on his little stumps and loves to be handled, held and given loads of love and attention.

Awwwwwww, yer just too sweet Razorblade!!

Talking about being kind to our fine-feathered friends, who gave this chap the OK to wear a hat-band of crushed budgerigars?

That's the spirit....the bird will be forever grateful. I have two adopted cats, I take them for walks and they follow me everywhere. It's funny. I didn't think cats did that.

Here's an idea if the bird can't perch on a regular perching swing. Replace the perching rod by a "U" shaped molding, his stumps will fit inside the U so he won't fall off.

    Good luck

mark, who thinks it’s totally despicable to use such treachery to win the ladies’ hearts...

Awww! Ray, I knew I liked ya! People that love and appreciate animals is tops in my book!

Several years ago I got suckered by a cute little gray ragamuffing doggy. He was at the local SPCA and I ended up taking him home. He was abused, skittish, barked at everything louder than a pindrop, and HATED men. He was also terribly malnourished and underweight. He's since then gained weight, gotten a couple haircuts, learned to sit, lay down, roll-over, and plays with his favorite stuffed lion. He LOVES my husband and gets so excited when his daddy comes home from work. About a year later, I took in a territorial three-year old Maltese who had never been potty-trained. Now she's a spunky little princess who's potty trained and rules the roost.

A lot of people think we're doing the animals a favor by taking them in, but what they don't understand is the love we get in return MORE than makes up for it! Despite any messiness, noises, or odors that do come with having animals, I wouldn't trade my in for the world!
