And to think the JWs used to throw that one at the LDS missionaries - ie that they were simply far too young in years to meet the bible’s criteria for being an “elder”.

Just as well they don’t live in glass houses!

Per what he told me, or what was rumored at Bethel?? I really will really never know. I am going to go with "Insubordination".

Well , since the c/o is merely a company man these days , repeating the lines of the Org , I suppose that a younger man could.

I would have fears though about their stability and resistance to temptations . When the young c.o .is a target for the single sisters , will he have the experience to avoid traps?

I had a relative who became a CO and Branch Overseer very young in his late 20s after graduating from Gilead.
He was removed in his mid-30s.

Funny I know of a same experience.

Brother elder at 24 then temp CO at 29. He broke himself at 35 and ended up leaving and coming out as gay.

    So we have a 20 something C.O.

Who is not even half the age of someone nearing retirement. And you're supposed to listen to this guy who has probably never had a real job,,applied for a mortgage, perhaps never even changed a tire.

""Mooching off congregations"" as someone said

And hes telling you how to live your retirement??

    Go figure.

    Pathetic news!

What scripture could they spin to show after decades and decades 'older man' actually means a guy not long out of puberty!!😢

    Beth, you got that wrong!

No need to worry about retirement when Armageddon is right around the corner!

They don't have a choice IMO. The number of older men who are still willing to carry the water for WTC is diminishing quickly, and there is a gap of elders in the 30-50 year bracket. They are actually targeting teenagers, hoping that they will be incentivized to stick with the org instead of leaving when they hit their 20's.

THEY MUST MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE SHEEP - even if they have to use pre-pubescent boys to do so.
