    CC Ryder

Hey Plmkrzy...Just wanted to thank you for starting such a cool thread..it was alot of fun!

C....CCRyder...C...What you have done now...OH C!...CC Ryder. hehe

Hey YOU GUYS! Are why the thread is fun! Thank Y O U !

I love it, music is so powerful! Once someone stole the stereo out of my car and it took the insurance co. F O R E V E R to replace it. I drove around with my sons boom-box on the back seat! What a pain that was weaving in and out of traffic to clear up the station! What was even worse was comming to a stop light when a good song was playing, r ol l i n g up to a gradule stop then _______%#$#%#$#%#%$#%$%$#%#$ and the car ahead will NOT BUDGE another inch! ARG! Ya know if you can roll up just 1 more foot the station would clear up! LOL!

BTW...Wednesday...a few years ago when my son began to really spark in interest in music, I bought him a Meatloaf CD set "Bat outa Hell" the old version and the newer one "To Hell And Back"? Can't remember the exact title now. And a Meatloaf T-shirt "Welcome To The Neighborhood" Could be considered not potliticaly correct items to purchase for a young impressionable mind . He had no idea who the heck Meatloaf was! So naturally I told him the story of Meatloaf...hahahha, he said he wouldn't guarantee he’d like the CDs but, The shirt was Rad!

Anyway to make a long story shorter, he now has a great appreciation for Meatloaf and you are right about him being underrated.

    oh! oh! OH!...THE CARS!

and anything by America...except muscrat love.

    "Sister Golden Hair"

I tried to make it Sunday...but I got so damn depressed

That I set my sights on monday...and I got myself undressed

    I ain't ready for the altar...but I do agree there's times

When a woman sure can be a friend of mine...

lmao!... This was a song that I dedicated to a young brother, I had known since babyhood, in my congregation many years ago. He had a really bad reputation for leaving the bride standing at the altar. He must have left at least 5 women at the altars! It got so bad that the last time he got engaged everybody just laughed! He actually went through with it that time and has a bunch of kids now. All in the troops of course!

To this day I think of that everytime I hear that song and smile!

No kidding? He is also a good actor. Did you see him in "Fight Club"? Sheesh! They must have some great out-takes!

CARLY SIMON! I seldom hear any of her songs anymore. There were some great ones .

    You walked into the party

Like you were walkin' onto a yacht

Your hat strategically dipped below one eye

    Your scarf it was apricot

You had one eye in the mirror as ,,,you watched yourself ------------?

And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner...they'd be your partner and....

Your so vein...you probably think this song is about you........

Az...I'm beginning to think we're twin sisters of different mothers.

Really? You think you're Dan Fogelberg and Tim Weisberg? Cool I loved that album.

Occasionally, some old stuff like: Martha Reeves & The Vandellas: HEATWAVE - I somehow think I may have been seated in my mother's lap in our our old Ford Fairlane when I was a baby, goo-goo-gah-gah'ing to this.

    Carly Simon's: You're So Vain

    AC/DC: Shoot To Kill

Lee Michaels: Do You Know What I Mean

    Clash: Train In Vain

    Flamin' Groovies: Shake Some Action

    Slade: Run Run Away

    Tragically Hip: Little Bones

I'm sure there are 100s more....but this will do for now. I dunno, but I still wish I had a big ass Ford LTD/Chevrolet Impala SS/Plymouth Fury - blasting out some of these.

Love these types of songs while you're on a road trip. Sounds even better with a V8 under the hood .
