Glad you made it, SP! Too bad about all the trouble, but at least you're there in one piece.

Oh lordy, SP. That sucks. I know what long trips are like. Glad you made it there ok, though.
Doesn't it seem like everything bad happens when you most need help. My wife and I have that surly curse.
Well, hope you're doing well, and take a nice long rest!

OMG that sounds like an aweful trip OMG. Too bad I'm not in FL right now but maybe this fall we could hook up in Orlando eh? I live only a couple of hours south of there.
When we moved out from Oregon we drove pulling the boat full of stuff and we had one low tire in Texas and then a blow out in FL on 75S 8 Miles north of HWY 10. heheh that must be a bad stretch through there, we were heading to Gainsville for the night, and ended up in some seedy hotel along the road.
So glad you made it and I know you'll love it. Only and hour drive to the beach, and you have every restruant and turist attraction you could hope for!!!
Best of luck on *cough* everything

Thank goodness!
Glad you arrived safe and sound.
WE MISSED YOU!!!
Good to hear that you made it okay, Sis, despite the problems.
As bad as it sounded, one day you'll look back on the trip with teary fondness... telling your grandkids all about how y'all made it to Florida together where the two of you built a life and legacy of your own.
Good luck on your new home and your new adventure.
While I was still working the company sent me to Orlando a couple of times for training. I couldn't believe all the things you could do there and places to eat. All it takes is money. In a way I envy you and hubby, but sure wouldn't wish to live there in the summer. Hopefully hubby will find a job soon and all will end happy. Bug
That story brought tears of....LAUGHTER to my eyes. I can feel the burning heat, the constant yowling.... my kids still shudder with the memories of my lemon, a 1989 Dodge Caravan. It only stalled on highways in 100 degree heat, after several hours of driving. Every bleepin' holiday. We enjoyed roadside views of the Coquihalla Highway, the Rocky Mountains, etc. etc. etc. Neither one of my adult children drive to this day.
I am happy you made it to Florida safely. Unexpected difficulties are no fun but one day you will remember the journey and laugh about it. Let us know how things go as you settle in. You are intelligent and motivated so no matter what obstacles come I believe you can handle them.
SP! I'd been wondering what was going on with your move. I feel a real kinship with you, especially since I'll be moving 1500 miles at the end of the month to go to grad school. To Tempe, AZ, so it'll be hot and dry rather than hot and humid (my profile says we're already there ).
I know how it feels to feel like your future is hanging by a thread, so I was really empathizing with your car issues. My issue is whether we'll get this house sold by the time we have to move (we have accepted an offer and are just waiting for the inspection). We already have the condo in Tempe bought, so at least we won't have to do the house hunt.
GOOD LUCK in finding a place and getting your residency for in-state tuition. I'm still waiting to hear if I'll get a graduate assistantship or if I'll have to spend $12,000 my first year for tuition .
Doesn't it feel great to get your future in motion??
