well back in 1991 it cost the wt lot stock and barrell .03 cent to print one wt at the price of a $.25 cents thats a 800% profit . so i would guess now it cost them$.05 cents now . so it must have to do with the mail laws about selling product through the mail that don't live up to the claim...........john

How about their teaching that the horses with scorpion tails of Revelation refer to the numerous WT publications God uses. They supposedly contain a "stinging" message to opposers. Wouldn't this show that the literature is to be distributed to those favorable or unfavorable toward the message. How will they get this stinging message if we withhold the literature from them? Is there a prophecy that says that a time would come where in the symbolic horses would be corraled?

The reason you won't find as many magazines at doctor's offices, dentists, etc. etc is because people are heeding
the advice. When you look around you'll see them taking the magazines into the restroom.

I think publishers are just tired of paying money out of their pockets for stacks of literature, and recieving nothing for donations at the door. I always thought that was a stupid system. You pay the money, they get the magazines for free. Talk about screwing yourself.

I always toss them in the garbage when I see them laying around the hospital (where I work) or the college (where I go to class)...not that it happens that often...

But maybe instead, I should get a stamp made that says

Nof, since 1990, JWs have not had to pay upfront for literature at the KH. Supposedly, just an anonymous donation into the contribution box. Few ask for donations at the door; even fewer donate at the KH.

Placements are down in the WTS, at least in the US. The KMs in the last year have been trying to pump up magazine placements by providing 4 easy to repeat presentations, reminding the publishers to place 2 magazines at a time, having articles on how the magazines benefit the rank and file and they should want to share it with others.

Blondie, I'm very much aware of this new arrangement, but JWs are still guilt tripped into supporting Jehovah's earthly organization. If the people at the door aren't donating, the JWs will feel responsible to pick up the tab. They don't feed their guilty conscience if they don't leave magazines in Laundromats and Doctor's Offices.

Also, what pioneer is going to be able to pick up the tab when he's living hand to mouth?

The hardcores may go along with this along with the ones raised in the troof, but the ones who are new to the troof will see right through this stupid arrangement. The society will continue to slowly lose money from their publications.

Does anyone have a copy of the KM when this arrangement was put in place? If I was at home, I'd find it and post it.

No one can get subscriptions anymore unless they are in a remote place that can not be put on a regular rotation magazine route. They are pushing the magazine route idea like never before. JW's are responsible for giving the people who want subscriptions their magazines now.

When I first started going into jw yahoo chatrooms it was also the point in which I was discovering just how brilliant of a tool the internet truly was. I learned fast how to search, cut/ cupy/ paste and take URLs from one place to the other. It became a passion and I mastered it at some point to where now it is a natural part of my existance. It is simply what I 'do'.

Any one of the long-time exjw chatters such as Cygs nuts and Hyghlandyr will attest to this fact. Most of the long-time jw chatters ARE GONE TO PALTALK now!!

It is simple in these rooms...we do not tolerate watchtower krap to be preached. We target the trolls immediately and we weed out the predators; as there are a number of young jw and ex jws in there.

Not to mention that my profile is updated weekly with new links and news; thus wt URLs. It works for me and has worked for many.

And if it weren't for all the men and women before me who wrote about watchtower corruption, deception and twistedd doctrines that bend minds and kill kids, I would not have the links and/ or info to place on my profile, thus take to the world through the Superhighway.
