Last I went to the local kh they explained that the WT now sends tractor trailers full of literature to certain locations and the publishers now have to go and pick them up from somewhere undisclosed to the public. It does sound like whatever arrangement they come up with has publishers paying out of pocket expenses . I wouldn't put up with that .

I know when I went to the KH back 1 1/2 yrs ago when I was disfellowshipped state. They told me I could not get a subscription. I would have to attend meetings or not get any. But I got my subscription slip in just under the wire, and I did get a sub for 1 year. After that it was go to the KH and you could only get individual magazines. I needed to keep up with the information because I had a teenage son still being raised in the JDUBS.
I got the the very pointed idea, that if you are not an active JW no magazines for you. They have to be afraid of apostates getting their literatures.
So the sub is gone, but its ok, I know everyone here will let me know if anything interesting pops up in the literature or magazines.

I've seen 2 magazines in over a year. one in a hospital, the other in a laundry mat. Makes me wonder how everyone is starting their "time"
