Yeah, I remember people talking about how, when Armageddon starts, they are all going to head for the nearest KH and camp out there until it is over.

At the KH we had a talk about not running to the kingdom hall in times of Crisis, its not a lucky charm they said. Then at the assembly they told us that "Yes we go on building because the Kingdom is increasing and will continue to do so in the next system with the resurrection" etc, so they implied all the buildings will still be standing after armageddon...like I said, its good for a laugh.

Actually YES lol I used to get anxiety attacks when I was a the hall .... when I was a JW.

After I left I took a course on public speaking and now am very comfortable speaking to all kinds of crowds .... hmm think the anxiety might be WT induced LOL

Yeah me too, I hated it but couldnt get out of it.

Didnt know people could do courses for public speaking, how do they stop the nerves? I'll have to check it out, I just dont have the guts to speak in public anymore yet I've been asked to so many times. Last time I spoke in public it was for a solid hour but I just cant do it now.

Yes, while I don't think it's in print, tehy expect their facilities to survive. Also, many feel that their own homes will survive, and also the homes of the householders which they covet.

I still get a bit nervous in front of a camera (for TV) , radio isn't as bad. And I guess the largest crowd I have spoken too was about 300 - not a twitch of anxiety once I get going - and have spoken for up to 3 hours at a time and love it

Mind you it helps that I am not spouting drivel. Now I spout apostacy LOL

If you have seen the video I did (part of a series with Penton and Grace/Mouthy) I spoke non-stop for an hour and a half - took a break and went on for another half hour. - and just a page of notes that I infrequently glanced at - used to have to write out the whole script for one of those 5 min MS talks

When I was a child , a sister would tell me that the reason there was always construction around was because the end was around the corner and Jehovah had put it in their minds to build so that after armagheddon we would use these new places. By the way that was 30 years ago.
