I remember about in 1990 when they came out with that idea that the Kingdom Halls wouldn't be destroyed at Armageddon. They even read a verse in the bible to prove what they were saying. I can't remember exactly what verse it was. So, even if the Kingdom Halls would be saved, what can you do in a KH. No place to wash, cook, sleep.... It actually becomes useless if it is empty.
They wanted us to feel protected at the KH, so that we wouldn't miss any meetings.
If New York is destroyed at Armageddon, buildings will fall on the watchtower buildings as well. What would serve these buildings without electricity and water and sewers.

Of course, kingdom hall = building and congregation = group of people. But most JWs think of them as the same.
No, Countrywoman, you are correct in being skeptical. The WTS teaches only that those resurrected will not marry and have children.
