I know Brumm. It is sometimes difficult to reason when one has the logic switch turned off. I was making an ill-advised, naive and somewhat bleeding heart attempt at reason.
My only defense is lots of sushi, a delightful bottle of beaujolais and feeling mellow with the universe.
And two computers hooked up to the Internet so we can post at the same time (thanks, pr!!!)!

PR_Capone networked (?) the two computers whilst he was here last week. It's actually rather neat. Nina and I almost never post on the same threads andnow we can tap away on the keyboards to our heart's content and no one gets bored.

I would like to echo Scully. Please do not disclose any information about me or my activities for which you have not received express permission. There are reasons why certain information is kept off of publically accessible discussion boards, and indiscriminate posting of information can curtail or even stop projects. Plus, as Scully pointed out, listing my email address in your bulletins infers some form of association with your group, which I do not wish.
In future, please get the permission of whoever it is that you refer to in your postings/bulletins/newsletters. It's the sensible, prudent, and polite thing to do.

My e-mail address has been obscured on this forum for AT LEAST a year. Consider my post above to be a statement revoking any implied consent for you specifically or any group with which you are affiliated or any other member of such group to disclose my personal information in any manner.
I don't know where you got that information, but it was NOT freely posted with the intent of you or anyone else plastering it on a public discussion board or in newsletters to further YOUR agenda.

Dunno what the big problem is here.....and don't really care. However, I've occasionally read posts/threads by Rainbow2003, Nance, etc., etc. Wordy - true. But within the words - some good points & questions.
Recently the following events took place in Bridgewater Nova Scotia. The information as seen was in the Bridgewater Bulliten a local newspaper and also in the Halifax Chronicle Herald What the paper does not mention is that this is a JW. What is also not mentioned is that this JW was disfellowshipped in Ontario for something and then later reinstated. Is there anyway to find out if it was for some kind of improper conduct involving children? If so then as usual a pedofile was allowed to stalk the congregation's children without the congregations knowledge...except the elders who probably kept an eye on their own children.
BRIDGEWATER - Police have charged a 26-year-old Lunenburg county man with the abduction of a Bridgewater girl earlier this month.
Mark Anthony Simpson of Centre was arrested June 17.
This IS a good question. Could it be that this man was was duly arrested on June 17 also could have a background of the same activity while he was a JW In Good Standing? Then he was df'd.....for some reason......then became a JW In Good Standing Again?
Why is this question so much different than a lawyer coming in here and asking "Have you ever been molested in .........." or "Have you been molested by Mr/Ms.....................?"

The problem was not with the initial posting regarding Mr. Simpson, but with a subsequent posting that disclosed information that the posters involved would rather not have disclosed. Scully has now edited that information out.
So, we are not "killing the messenger" as you put it, but just exercising our preference to preserve our privacy.
