Just wondering..
With all this hot weather we're having at the moment (92 in WSM, which for the UK is as hot as it gets), are sisters still expected to wear tights - that's pantyhose BTW - to the meetings and when out in the ministry?
Her Ladyship says that only old dears wear tights in summer anyway.
So, what is the current permitted apparel for sisters? Are trousers now allowed? Do the ladies still have to wear frocks with Peter Pan collars even in the hottest of summers?

I have yet to see a sister at a meeting or in service wearing long pants even in the -30 degree weather we get here in Winnipeg

There is still a ban on trousers/pants for sisters. I have never met one sister, even the most staunch toe-the-line fanatical zealous ones, that ever thought that the ban made any sense whatsoever. I have not heard any stipulation about tights/pantyhose though.
Brothers still have to wear a suit as well, but they are allowed to remove their jacket if they are not assigned - so brothers have to give talks and handle the roving mikes with their jacket on. It was bloody stifling in the KH yesterday! What I do just to keep my family sweet, huh?!
Always wondered which scripture-- chapter and verse-- required sisters to ventilate their legs and norhterly parts in sub-freezing weather while compelled men to wear a noose-like rag around their necks-- teh one about ``suffering for righteousness sake" perhaps?
It was "suggested" through the years that I was a Witness that sisters should "dress modestly" and avoid bare legs and sundresses, even in the Texas heat. I blithely ignored the "suggestions" and did what I wanted. I know that some of the elders weren't pleased but they couldn't say anything because it wasn't something I could be df'd for. The one elder who dared to say something to me about me wearing a tank top (with two-inch wide shoulder straps -- oh, please!) out in service was treated to a spirited lecture by me about Texas heat, stupidity, and minding his own business. And I was a pioneer then. The subject never came up again.

Some of the sisters in my congregation (southern cali) started wearing longer dresses and knee highs. NEVER did I see a sister, no matter what the weather, with bare legs. Of course, that was over 10 years ago, things may have changed.
Pants are definitely still an absolute no no.
