I guess what Big Tex, Xena, are trying to say is a little bit of semantics.

Laws are defined by words like manslaughter, murder in the first degree etc etc.

So to be completely accurate one could possibly say, the fds of the wtbs is at the very least, guilty of conspiring to promote the means (spirit directed, bible interpretation) for causing death or protracted illnesses. all wrapped up in the guise of what God purportedly says about blood, transplantes, and acceptable medical procedures.

I did not even understand what I was trying to say.......in other words they are damned murderers

Yo Brummie...I made it like two whole days...are ya proud of me??? lol it's your fault..luring me back like this..bad kitty bad kitty

Proud? I'm giving you a full standing ovation. I lasted 20 hours, 10 of which I slept.

At what point do you stop yourself and say NO this is wrong?

Chances are, if a person is on their deathbed they wont say it is wrong, its too close to the end for them, what if they say "this is wrong" have a transfusion/organtrans and then find out it isnt wrong at all. They will then face eternal death (in their minds). So the GB has tied their thinking powers up in knots.

In saying that, I do agree with everything you said. A person is personally responsible for allowing it to happen, but they are more victims of circumstance where as the GB are the ones who laid the laws down.

The GB no longer believe Blood transfusions are wrong (they even allow purified cow blood), but they wont put it in black & white that they reject that doctrine because it will disgrace them. So they are currently "murdering" their followers. JWs will give their lives standing on the blood issue. But the GB lie about it and do not make a stand for it like a faithful JW does. re: Bulgeria.

Anyhow, this aside, its good to see you back brightning the place up (((( )))) 2 days was far too long.

As usual Danny, you see right through and nail the situation. It is semantics and I guess I'm just not comfortable with the word "murderer" when it comes to the GB. It, to me, smacks of sensationalism.

But I've always been more than a little cautious.

I think thats an excellent quality!

We had two JW murderers in nearbye Kingdom Halls when I was a JW. One elders daughter battered an old lady to death, the headlines sprawled all over the tabloids and TV news was "Jehovah's Wickedness" and "Angel of death". True sensationalism. However it was OK to call them a murderer.

semantics eh? ok.... well i guess i can think of a murderer as someone who knows his victim or atleast has some personal interest in each death(even if it is only to rob a convenience store that the victim works at). so then I would call the GB 'KILLERS' rather than 'MURDERERS' since it on a larger scale and not personally face to face with every victim. but it is just semantics. like I said in my other post about this...these men KNOW what they are doing when they write the articles and make the rules. They do not believe they are doing God's will. i said it before(and thought it was scathingly brilliant at the time...)these men write the scripts for 6 million people who play them out every day of their lives---INCLUDING THE DEATH SCENES.

    Big Tex,

**** I'm just not comfortable with the word "murderer" when it comes to the GB.****

Me to. Yet since Brummie has such a penchant for being so damn cute (a true guise or exuse me disguise) I had to give him some 'logical fallacy' for the sake of his ruffled fur and bow tie. Those damn youngin's were kicking the cat around.........and Iam a particularly sensitive 'cat lover' myslef.

It's a tricky one Brummie...especially when you consider people who were raised in this religion, isolated from other people, taught to distrust the medical profession and told if they disobey they would either be cut off from their families if they lived or cut off from God and the chance of seeing their families in the "paradise" if they died.

I guess though there is still that slight niggling doubt in my mind that the individual could at some point have stopped it...that is the only thing that would stop me from throwing the full blown murder charge at them....

lol sematics or just wishy-washy Dannybear???

    Xena,

Sometimes we discount individual responsibility to much. Your comments are very appropriate.

Then again my emotions lead me to exactly what Rayvn said.
