Yes I did catch that, there so much contrived bullshit in that article, ironically it was put up by a Christian backed web site.

Agreed, calling "refugees" "Muslim invaders" is very bad, bigoted, and helps nobody. However, is there a reliable system in place that distinguishes between genuine refugees and economic migrants? Does it function reliably?

It'd also be good if there was a democratic mandate for taking in a certain amount of people too, so ideally a referendum would be put to the paying public.

Plus, if someone would like to address my questions on page 8 of this thread, that'd be nice

If the numbers are very low and integration is good, then the American/Canadian system could serve as a template for Europe.

If American/Canadian political leaders let in many migrants without bothering to consult the paying public (like what Frau Merkel has done in Germany), what would public response be?

In Germany they do make a definition, people coming from certain countries are classed as "economic migrants", such as Balkan states, and as such are deported back to where they come from. This has however not been effectively enforced in the past, and although they should be deported many are not and are "tolerated".

A clampdown is supposed to happen on this, but personally have no way of checking if this takes place. Also the actual time taken to process the actual "Asylum Application" is being accelerated so that the "economic migrants" can be deported sooner.

There are reports in the press that some "economic migrants" just say that they are refugees from Syria which is a guarantee for "Asylum" (if they are really from Syria). To counter this, after finding out where they come from they are shown pictures of monuments/buildings that they should know if they really are from Syria, and they need to correctly identify these monuments/buildings. There is another problem that the authorities are having, apparently non-Syrians have Syrian identification documents that have apparently been issued by the Syrian authorities, so they are not forged, but are not genuine either. So it is not easy for the authorities.

So it is not easy for the authorities - this is very bad. The authorities are paid for by us to protect us. They'd better pull their finger out, sharpish.

If the authorities aren't up to the job then perhaps it'd be best to improve the system first, then start taking refugees/migrants.

Ps -sorry for the slight diversion from the topic at hand. As you were-- not-- imho. My main point was about refugees being prayed on by locals, Pedophiles and Child murderers. crime increases in these overwhelmed areas happens sharply. not because of newcomers only.

There is no much mystery behind the gun sales and crime in Czech Republic. Recession -> bad local economy -> cops laid off -> rising crime -> citizens arming themselves. Czech Republic has one of the most liberal gun laws in EU on level of USA. Pretty much anyone without criminal record can and does own gun. There is required registration and also membership association with firing range, certification that person can handle the gun, and licensing. All these information are available from Dept of Interior. The gun sales were increasing since 2011 when Islamic invasion of EU was minimal and even back in 2014 there was a complain on waiting time from potential gun owners.
