I think Hopkins is a wonderful actor. I thought he was fantastic in The Elephant Man.

I'll check out Instinct and The Human Stain.

@Magnum - yeah The Ring creeped me out. I first saw it at the cinema in Lincolnshire, visiting friends. I was 23 and living in southern England at the time. I remember driving back down south on the A1 - I was paranoid that I was going to have an accident - all because of watching that film!

Looking back, it was pretty good.

I said earlier in this thread I was interested in watching The Serpent and the Rainbow so last Sunday I bought it on ebay. I also ordered Red Eye.

Well, they both came through the post today. The Serpent and the Rainbow was brand new and cost only £3.00. I thought the movie was ok, pretty good.

Red Eye was pre-owned, in good condition and cost only £1.90. And it's a pretty damn good suspenseful film. Cillian Murphy plays the bad guy excellently.

The work of Wes Craven, one of my favourite directors, can honestly be described as a mixed bag but I think Red Eye deserves to be up there with his best work such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, New Nightmare and Scream.

fave all time film--? From Russia with Love--watched it again on tv last week. Best Bond film ever. first Bond film i saw--over 50 years ago.
