For anyone who would seriously consider the question it would indicate an ambivalence that needs to be addressed. For anyone in this position, I would once again recommend Franz's Crisis of Conscience, In Search of Christian Freedom and Penton's Apocalypse Delayed. After reading these publication, all doubts should be removed.

The fact of the matter is that Armageddon will not happen in our lifetime. The WTS has arranged their interpretations over the last 10 years to give us the impression that the end will not occur during our generation.

The WTS's belief that the U.N. will someday destroy false religion is no closer to reality now than it was 50 years ago. WIth the exception of 9/11 and the war on terrorism, things are pretty much the same. It's not like terrorism in the name of God/country has just appeared. Didn't the U.K. have the same problem with IRA back in the 70s-80s?

Current events is no indicator of where we are in God's plans and certainly not the WTS.

In common with most every other religions, JWs are right-- about somethings, wrong about others-- certainly wronger than others for their heavy-handed autoritarianism and ruthless intolerance of dissent

What If Jehovah's Witnesses Are Right?

Then that would make God wrong!

If the JW's were right I would go to sleep thinking God played a mean, unloving game with me that made my life miserable. I wouldn't want to play the next forever game with a God like that!!! The gift of life hasn't felt like a gift so far and I'm 52 and growing older.

Like the words to John Lennons song..."Imagine theres no Heaven, it's easy if you try..."

Sorry folks. Your thinking is wrong.

Jehovah will go to change this world to bring justice and righteousness. That does not depend on the behavior of any organization which speaks in his name, or bears his name. The change to a new righteous world is an unconditional necessity. If Jehovah would not do so, the mankind would fall into a moral, ideological and economic black hole worse than everything you can imagine....

I think it's true that armageddon is coming soon but I definitely DONT believe that JW's are the only ones who will survive. In fact I feel that a good majority of them probably would NOT survive, because they are all hypocrites, judgemental and pompous and I don't think Jehovah would want them in the new system. No one but Jehovah knows who will survive and who wont so I just try to be the best person I can be and try not to dwell on it.
