Both Russell and Rutherford were misogynistic womanizers.

Russell was said by his then wife that he was frequently seen alone with a girl who the Russell’s took in as a boarder.

Rutherford lived with his mistress when he was separated from his wife in his luxury San Diego home until he died.

So righteous and true those men were weren't they ?

I was never "hit on" by an Elder ,but then I`m a male ,does that make a difference ?

Come to think of it I was never "hit on" by an Elders wife either ?

What was wrong with me ?

He was not an elder but a ministerial servant. It was when the kingdom hall (the one I was attending at the time) that we were building. While there, a very fine-looking brother was flirting with me big time. I didn't know who he was but later learned that he was married with two children. I'm not sure why he was flirting with anyone because later on I got to meet his wife, and she was just the cutest person, with the sweetest personality, that I have ever seen. Yes, I did fall in love with the whole family. I did call him out on his behavior because I don't play those kinds of games. For some reason, that really impressed him, and I ended up getting a job through the government.

I was rather ballsy and brave when I was a single sister. I didn't have a problem calling people out of their unacceptable behavior. I think that was why none of the single brothers were interested in me, and thank god they weren't. I would have turned them down anyway.

Good moral compass, Tameria. Boundaries/assertiveness with schmucks who take their chances are everywhere. Some good men who are ethical you can be acquaintances with in safe arenas. Halls were scary as females don't have their guard up as much as in the world - some very upright elders for the most part in that respect. Delusional losers in every corner of life for both sexes.

Waton I seem to remember that Russell gave the weird illustration of being like a jellyfish floating from one to another rather than a butterfly.

You really do have to question the mentality of JW leaders and elders!

I used to find it hilarious that older elders would hand out this advice to younger elders, but had no problem giving lifts to an entire car party of sisters. Who knew whether the last one was dropped off at the roadside or inside.

And for the ministry we had one Service Overseer who would only work with teenager sisters, putting a helpful arm around their "shoulders" to steady them at the door. Mind you it caused several to stop going out on the work, and a couple to leave the religion entirely. But when it was raised at an elders meeting, all his cronies had a holier than thou attitude and how dare you impune this fine upstanding older man....

Excuse me while I go outside and throw up.

There was a CO here that had active hands. If you payed attention, you would see that he went from one sister to the next with roaming hands.

    stillin ...

Was the CO's last name Biden by any chance?

    Rub, not Biden.

Smiddy's comment reminded me of the time A CO's wife tried to seduce me. Horny 20-something I was and almost took the bait. Never mentioned it to anybody because what's the point?
