It is rare that the waking up process leads a JW to another religion. Some will retain a belief in God and maybe his Son but belonging to another organized religion with their own 'truths' is rare. Mainly by the time most have escaped from the JW construct we are pretty much burned out with religion.
The way it works is that something starts to wake up a JW (not every JW wakes up or even wants to be awake) I'd say 50% come a little awake........... feel that a few things are wrong in the JW world, wonder why doctrines change. Sees or experiences a harsh discipline. Loses a family member to shunning or loses their family by being shunned.
Becomes mistrustful of the ban on a life saving blood transfusion. Seeing family and or close friends die by refusing blood, or getting the transfusion and then being shunned.
Wonder's why Armageddon hasn't come. Wonder's why they are so anxious to see everyone but your JW's die so that they can live in a paradise built over those bones? Wonders what the hell is wrong with god.
In all of these causes do you see what's missing Salutaris?
Scripture, the bible is missing. They are burnt out with doctrine and scripture. In general......... but certainly based on my observation being on this forum for the last five years most people here only use the bible to destroy a fixed doctrine but not because they believe in the bible as inspired. And by the way using the NWT costs you points as an awakened JW knows that it is one of the worst translations out there with the exception of the Catholic Bible which was tricked up to prove every Catholic belief never taught by the early followers of Jesus then not made available for centuries in any common language.
Bible truth turns out not to be truth. Even the Gospels disagree with one another. After years of watching the Society cherry pick individual scriptures that seem to prove their point until one reads the scriptures around it or the whole chapter and finds out that it was talking about something else...one becomes critical of any doctrine that tries to be justified by cherry picking.
It just rolls off an Ex JW's back as easily as that ex can roll their eyes.
So convince me...... but no bible scriptures or referring to a bible scripture. No mention of god especially Jehovah........ a name made up by a Catholic Monk in the 13 or 14 century. No proof Jesus even lived since he never wrote anything down or had a follower writing stuff down we have myth and silly miracles, and then a good 50 to 70 years after all of that an oral history which has been passed around in various common languages. And then the book of Mark after that the mass confusion over the details. And who transcribed what and why was that book in the bible?
Science is ok but nothing that is misused to arrive at a preconceived belief. Been there can smell that a mile away.
Otherwise have a go at it and good luck.
My name is Giordano Bruno not that Giordano Bruno but a distant relative of............... Got to love the Catholic Church.

I think that in the pursuit of truth and freedom, there is a tone of challenge to this OP that I neither understand nor appreciate.
This is a person of faith, who has a website, that would like to write truthful articles about the JWS. Is it SO IMPORTANT to attack G-d delusions? Can you not see the bigger picture? A person who is needy, and seeking 'something', and studying with the JWS ... might read the OP's site. MIGHT get turned off from the JWS, and may NOT join the cult. I think that Van, you may agree.
The Big Picture. *sighs*

Very nice and stimulating read Salutaris. Like the way you reason using the NWT and the KIT. Being able to refer to your articles (I have bookmarked them) and discuss, reflect upon them is a good example of being free as a Christian should be. Why not consider incorporating references using the Emphatic Diaglott too? -

I'm going to check them out. -

Kopernicus, that was not a translation I was familiar with. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Is this a text that JWs would be familiar with?
Thank you also to those who emailed me through my site. If I haven't emailed you back yet I will be sure to do so this week.

Scripture, the bible is missing. That's actually a very good insight. I imagine most Ex-Witnesses would be pretty sick of religion. Nevertheless, I'll continue to try and use scripture to defend orthodox Christian doctrines. It may have more of an impact on those who are newly caught up in the group.

A christian apologist trying to "free" members of a cult is the moral equivalent of a drug dealer hanging around a rehab clinic.
The RC religion is an authoritarian cult with doctrines that are even more irrational than the Watchtower.
What JWs need is rational thinking and evidence not another brand of superstition.

What JWs need is rational thinking and evidence not another brand of superstition.Obviously I disagree with you. But would you concede that a religion which includes in its ranks the likes of Fr. Georges Lemaitre, Louis Pasteur, Gregor Mendel, Blaise Pascal, etc., etc. etc. deserves a little more credit than the Watchtower? Is a historic Church like the Catholic Church, which has admitted and apologized for its grave errors and abuses, which are bound to happen in 2,000 years, really on par with the Watchtower? Furthermore, to lump all Christians in with the Watchtower speaks to a total lack of objectivity on your part.

WT bought the sole rights to the Emphatic Diaglott. I guess this is due to several occasions in the text where Kyrios is translated as Jehovah.
Got my copy via cong lit desk. It's also downloadable to the JW App.
