My all time favorite gospel song, no matter who sings it, is "Amazing Grace". I loved Elvis' rendition. It almost makes me believe in god again!
just saying!

I love Hallelujah by Lenard Cohen.
I consider myself an atheist. I hate everything religion does to people... but gospel music stays on rotation because the emotion is sooooo moving.
My dubcrazy jw mom had the one vice... Al Green
Simon - Dylan is one of the all-time greats.

Wow, that voice. You know which one I'm talking about.
At 3 mins 37 secs, it sounds like a plane taking off. XD It gives me goosebumps.
I'm sorry but if you hear that voice and fell nothing at all, there might be something wrong with you.
Gospel music is so much better than watch tower music
I’ll take Aretha any day over Bob Dylan. Give me the Mighty Clouds of Joy. Now that’s gospel!
I used to like Adam and theAnts. That's Biblical right?
Goody, goody two shoes!!
Great topic, Simon -- WOW so many artists above that are my faves - Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight (she's my manicurist's client for couple decades) - Aretha is WOW! LOVE George Michael - Dylan still one of my top faves for decades.
Silent - Love Al Green and have that same album/CD - it's a great one with his hits 'So Tired of Being Alone' and 'Let's Stay Together.' Someone had it playing during a barbecue at our home and even the older ones were asking who and what tape was playing -- they loved it. I'll have to play the 'Belle' song.
Motown -- some of the greatest artists, EVA! Elvis - great gospel music.
I have to play Smokey now and go down the list here on the Sonos. Good way to start the weekend.
