What should I do?

    Lisarose had a great response.

If you decide not to attend, I would let both parties know why you will not show. Make sure you use the word hypocrite, when explaining it to the JW's. Oh, by the way, why are the JW's "mixing company" with the evil "worldly" family members?

If the JW's don't like it, they can leave. I absolutely would not follow their rules. Either don't go or stay the entire time.

Attend the family reunion, stay the full time and let the JW`s make as big a scene as they like and show themselves up for what stupid people they can be.

Sounds like the ones that are having the party prefer the Jw's company over yours.

Like some people invite people to the wedding but not the reception.

If I did go I would make sure I went around telling EVERYONE " Yes I just stopped by for a few hours. Love to visit longer but I only have a short time to visit because my JW relatives are coming and they are insisting that I not be here when they arrive. "

I might go just to get a couple hours of anti-witnessing in. I want everyone to know how hateful they can be!

WOW this is crazy X 2

I would go make as though your going to leave then don't but instead put up signs quoting things from the bible about love not judging or exalting and all that believe in Jesus are saved, that kinda stuff. I would do all I could to embarrass the evil JW family including letting everyone else know that thier teachings are that all attending will die at Armageddon simply because thier not JWs.

This is what I would do.

Witnesses are rude and self centered; make them ask you to leave, pretend you never knew you were 'supposed' to leave'.

There is no limit to their selfishness.

Go and when "the appointed time" comes, refuse to leave. Explain that those judgmental JWs are not Christians and that no one appointed the as chief morality officer for all the non-JWs there. Let them know that you are in charge of your life, you take responsibility for your decisions, and you urge them to do likewise.

Bring the list of things that JWs are not allowed to do and begin reading it aloud as soon as you have made your statement. Be a voice for the voiceless and a defender of the intimidated. Be prepared to pop some bullies in the nose.

I agree with Scary21. This is an opportunity to expose what the jws are all about. Especially because the people hosting the event are so willing to accommodate these jws.

Let them be the ones who freak out and behave badly. I might tell anyone you talk to that you would love to stay longer and visit, but the jws really do need you to leave so that they won't get in trouble with their church for disobeying the shunning rule.

That you certainly don't agree with it but you want to keep the peace. Then explain how families are separated for years, even lifetimes because of the cult shunning.

Maybe take just a little bit longer to leave so the jws can arrive and get all wigged out while you behave politely.

Manipulative, yes, but it's worth it to expose the cult and inform the public how bad they are.

RSVP that you are coming but that you'll be staying as long as you like. It was rude of the inviting party to extend a conditional invitation.

Yah what Scary21 said. This is totally unacceptable but I think the best you can do is to explain why you got to leave. And I second Flippers suggestion to "overstay" a bit (take a reeeeally long time to say goodbuy).
