I find pictures of dead mutilated babies on posters offensive, especially when I was taking my step son to go see a walt-disney movie, a friend took my kid back to the car, and I confronted the bastards with the signs. You see there was a planned parenthood above the theater, which I didn't realize at the time, and I pointed out to some old nutcase, that planned parenthood was closed on sunday, and "why the fuck were you showing dead babies, in front of a theater that is showing kids movies?". You anti-abortionist make me sick, you are the same people that get up in arms about naked bodies in movies, yet you show mutilated babies, I'm sorry but I'd rather my kid see a naked body then a dead mutilated baby, I find that more offensive then someones naked body.

I agree wholeheartedly TH, had a similar situation happen recently.

We won't be friends I'm sure, but I don't need enemies, not even online.

Stacy, don't be to sure, some of my now best buds on this site are ones I've insulted, argued w/, etc.

avishai my dad has always told me to never be so certain that someone that I dislike (or vice versa) won't become my friend. It has happened a couple of times already. I just have doubts that I'll make many real world friends here and that's what I meant by my comment directed towards Aztec.

It just surprises me how so many people here can make what I perceive to be unkind comments towards near strangers. I hope I can refrain from doing that in the future. If I find myself acting in a manner here which I personally don't approve of then I would leave. I don't need more bad habits.

    Obiwan,

"If you go to google, which is where I went, and type pro-abortion group, just like it is, you will find numerous sites to go too. Sorry dear."

In the context in which he meant it, I was correct. He seemed to be implying that all pro-choice people were pro-abortion. But. thanks for the info hon! :-)

    Yeru,

"Sorry you think it's you who set the ground rules for this discussion. Comparing a human life to a tree seed is what's asinine."

I wish I could take credit for the analogy but, I believe it was Buster who came up with it.

"The very point of my statement was that there's no comparision between a germinated seed and a human fetus...NONE. That fetus is a human life...seperate from the mother."

Can a fetus survive outside of the mother, without her or some other sort of artificial support? No.

    Dr,

"Aztec made me think a lot about moral absolutes... and how there probably are none (or very few, at most)."

*Blush* Glad I got the ball rolling at least! PS Thanks for the pic of you and your wife! :-)

    Stacey,

"Sorry for behaving in a manner in which I accussed you of behaving Aztec. We won't be friends I'm sure, but I don't need enemies, not even online."

You don't have anything to apologize for. Online debate is a healthy outlet and good for your critical thinking skills. I don't know if I'm embittered or not but I figured out that in the last three days I have worked 30 hours, commuted back and forth for 6 hours and slept about 12 hours. Maybe if I got more sleep I'd be less confrontational...LOL! I don't choose my friends by who agrees with me. I don't have any enemies either on or offline, just people who haven't gotten to understand the sweet, lovable me behind the blunt, sarcastic shell. :-)

Well Aztec I was also up late and fried from studying. So I wasn't my normal "don't give a crap" self either. I know it's difficult to convey a tone of the voice or a smile when posting. What I've told people on other boards is that I am seldom serious and to take anything I post as a random thought and not as something absolute. Usually I'm just a smartass.

    "Usually I'm just a smartass."

See? We have something in common! *Big grin*

I get very passionate about this subject as it's something that's touched a few very dear friends and relatives of mine. When I look at my beautiful 7 year old son who I've raised by myself (with no child support thank you very much Merc..LOL) I can't understand why anyone would choose to have an abortion. However, I realize that a fetus is not a person. I also realize how much harm would result in it not being legal.

That's all I have to say on the subject...for now. LOL! ;-)

Well we can disagree about the state of the fetus without hating each other. I think, as I said before, some of my opinions have been formed by knowing people that have abused abortions.

I have friends who are so passionate on both sides of this issue that they can scare me at times.

So I'm off to study a bit. There are other people who I don't impress with my intellect and the big problem is that they are professors.

I know a couple of people who many would say have "abused" abortions. If there is a god, I feel sure he/she/it is as relieved as I am that these persons aren't responsible for more children than the ones they are currently f****** up.

Good point Six! As I'm only f****** up one child at the moment I feel like mommy of the year. :-)
