  woW!! WOW.. WOWWY!.. That is the big thing .. I saw you post.

  You and your wife truly do have your minds made up to free yourselves from this man made religion.

  I suspect, that some of the people you know in the J.W. religion.. truly will miss you. I think that you will probably miss some of them as well.

  I've been out of it for 10 years.. and there are still a few people my spouse and I knew in the religion that we truly miss. But the price to pay to be near or share time with them was TOO HIGH.

  And then some will continue to ASK YOUR MOTHER????? and TELL YOUR MOTHER THEY MISS YOU?

  I know one thing.. if you stopped posting right now, there would be alot on this forum that would miss you. For sure!

  Thinking of you, as you continue to leave the borg.

  Any more wine and cheese get togethers coming up.. maybe you need to switch now to

  BEER AND PRETZELS party.

  You are so right Lady Lee.

  My sister turned her back on me 5 years ago when I needed a small favor. It was 6 months after I had DA'd. Now, she finds it ok to call me, engage in small chit chat, and she even came over for lunch this past Sunday. I was shocked! She didn't go to the meeting, she came to see her DA'd and openly apostate sister instead!!

  We went bowling and had coffee and cake at a bakery, like no big deal. I just act like nothing has happened, I dont bring up the past, and I never treat her any differently than when I was a JW. so this situation has me confused. But what you said made perfect sense-----I guess the bodies have started to pile up in the empty seats, and they're fed up with the rules. Some obviously have given themselves "permission" to see us.

  Sure, they miss you but never bother to call and see if you aren't feeling well or perhaps needed a ride or something. Or, you hear about a big party, everyone was there and you weren't invited, but "they miss you". Uh huh. It's the guilt tactic to try and get you back to the meetings. They know you're backing away and they want to make you feel bad. If they're a real friend, they'll come out and ask you what's up. In fact, they'd invite you to the party, ask if you needed anything, etc. Not just to quiz you on meeting attendance.

  I thought I'd miss a few of them, but not really. The more I'm away the more I realize I didn't really have all that much in common with them anymore. I'd love to see a few friends snap out of it and I'll be there if they do, but they're scared to be seen talking to me now, lol.

  Iv been out 18 years and not one elder has ever called on me. I don't know whether to be hurt or happy. Maybe it was something I said?

  This weekend we're going to a family get together with all Witnesses. All of them are from a nearby congregation. Let's see what people will ask now.
