Hey guys.
Take precautions.
In a storm..
I always fill the bath tub just in case the power goes off. A family of 5 can't go too long without having to flush the toilet.
Fill extra pots in the kitchen.
Batteries/candles
Can beans and some stuff the kids can eat cold
I'll be thinking about you all
(((Worldly Girl)) .. NOrth Carolina.. hang TIGHT.
(((Waiting))).. South Carolina.. brace for rain.
((Leslie V))).. western New York.. keep dry
((( Anybody I missed))).. keep checking your basements for water.. make sure your drain are clear!!!
sincerely
special k
and we will be waiting to hear from you all

I'm in the Baltimore/DC area. All schools and activities have been cancelled. All trains and busses will stop running at around noon. As for me, I'm working from home and as of right now, have no reason to leave the house.
Mostly we are preparing for flooding and power outages. Made the run to the store yesterday for Batteries , food and stuff. Stores were packed with people doing the milk and toilet paper thing. Did a ton of cooking last night just in case.
Hope everybody affected by this storm will be safe!!!!! Please remember to fill jugs of water for drinking, and make sure to fill your bathtub with water for washing and flushing and such.

I am in NC, not on the coast but in the middle of the state (thank goodness). Right now we are under a wind advisory and being told to watch out for flash flooding later in the day. Currently it is raining and the wind is getting worse. At the coast, they are already out of power in many places and the worst is yet to come. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all you guys on the coast!!!!

The rain has been fairly steady since early afternoon and the past couple hours the wind is picking up considerably. They say the worst for us will be in the overnight hours.

Here in Jersey, we are getting some 45-50 MPH winds, big gust, but strangely enough, no rain or thunder....just high wind.
The wifey and I are going to go to the shore tomorrow, so we can see the monster waves.

Yea, just a lot of high wind here too. Hope the large tree in the backyard doesn't decide to come down on the house though.
The wifey and I are going to go to the shore tomorrow, so we can see the monster waves.
Wish I was going with you. God, I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Have fun....somebody should.
