I beg to disagree. I find it nothing like those places. However, it is very much like Stockholm with its huge harbour as a centrepiece. Well, that is to say, Stockholm in summer!

Going to Australia is one of my life-long dreams!

I have a close friend in Melbourne. Due to her travelling and my moving, we lost touch about 5 years ago, and I can't find her. I've learned (via Internet search) she wrote a paper at UniSA last year, but so far have had no luck in finding her. When I finally locate her, you KNOW I'll be making a visit!!!

When I do, it's gonna be an extended, 6-month minimum trip, so look out Aussies!

Lived there for four magic years. Mostly in North Queensland. Fabulous mushrooms, monsoon weather, mud crabs, green coconuts, mangoes, great fishing, crocs in the swimming hole, cane toads the size of a dinner plate scoffing the blowflys in our dunney, pregnant deathadder in a hole in the bank beside where I parked, huge prawns right in front of our house, box jellyfish, even ate a dugong caught a few metres from our doorstep.

My parents have been to Australia about 4 times now as my dad travels with a jazz band. My mom says it's her most favorite place in the world (and they've been really getting around!). She adores the great Australian friends she's made.

I think she'd like to move there--if they do, I'll hide somehow in her luggage.

I try to visit every 6 months.......very tempted to go to Melb for the MotoGP in 2 weeks.
