I have lost some friends this year too. It is hard to see members of our own generation dying isn't it?
I see on the news almost everyday, some noteworthy person my age or younger who died. It totally freaks me out. I have my very elderly parents (90 and 91) living with us, so I know my life is likely far from being over, but it still is scary. And so sad.
Regardless of beliefs, or lack thereof, death is still an enemy to the living and the dead (IMHO).
I hear, feel, and know your pain. Over a recent two year period, I lost my two remaining grandparents, both of my parents, and two of my closest friends.
I have just barely scratched the surface of initiating the grieving process. There is just so much pain for those who are left behind.
I wish I could offer you something more positive than my sympathy, but that is all I have.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It seems the older I get the more freinds I have to bury, and you really don't know how much you miss them, until they are gone.
I hope brighter days, are ahead.
I'm sorry for you loss LT. When I was around 20 I lost three friends within a years time. Very shocking when you are so young! The downside of loving people is that sometimes you lose people. I wish I had something comforting to say but all I have are cyberhugs...(((LT)))

Sorry that you're facing one of life's valleys Little Toe. Such a loss is very difficult to reconcile even to 'believers'... one of life's mysteries, but one that I'm sure will be answered to everyones amazement. I've never had a 'fear' of death, however, the more I confront it with the loss of close family and friends any 'power' that it held over me is deminished.
