I agree that the RX-8 is an awesome little car. I took one for a ride and think that next year, one will be occupying a space in my garage. The mini is neat too. a couple of guys in my race club have them. They are quick and maneuverable, but nothing like the original mini. I just bought my wife a new Mazda 6. She got one just like this:

It's a nice car..very sporty and lots of power. has a 225 hp. 3L V-6. Of course, it was her B-day...so she wasn't wanting to get anything but a sporty, yet functional car. It's got all the goodies on it sunroof and Bose sound included.

go practical and get a Honda.

I have a '99 Honda Civic and I treat it like garbage.

I drive my car hard and change the oil when I get around to it. Today was it's very first ever repair after 57,000 miles. I kid you not, and you wanna guess what it was? Brakes. I finally had to change the ORIGINAL brakes. And I drive that car SO hard.

I won't ever buy anything but a Honda form here on out.

I'm with Moe on the Honda. Been a Honda Accord man since 1990. The first one was good for 257,000 miles but I treated it good. It lasted until 2002 whereupon I bought a new one with a great stereo and sunroof. It sips the gas and has a smooth ride.

    Mike,

I don't know. First time I was there I was look for the pick-up truck considering your business. Sure would make hauling ladders and materials a lot easier.

Don't tell Chris I suggested this.

    Steve,

I already have a work vehicle, and as I have no off-road parking I am reluctant to get an open bed vehicle.

But the idea of the Mini Cooper does give me a buzz.

    Mid-life crisis, clearly.

Hmm... I really love my 1999 GTP. If I were to get a new car, it'd probably be the 2004 GTP. Great price and lots of supercharged horses.

The new Mini Cooper is a beaut. Sounds like a good buy, Mike, with far more room than the original.

For a dare, I once crammed myself into the boot of my old Mini, years ago - it's a wonder I didn't crack a rib, or worse
It was good for over 120mph - which was pretty hairy passing lorries in the wet.

I watch a movie last night call The Italian Job. They had three tricked out Minies in it. They were really cool! I was impressed. Maverick
