I don't fancy returning her email and getting in to a long winded JW discussion

I like discussions with jws, but then again I might be a bit SadoMasochistic LOL.

I was baptised at 7 years old. Later at 25 I was baptised again because I didn't think I really knew what I was doing at 7, I still didn't know what I was doing at 25.

I have a hard time believing this, but who knows. How can a 5 year old regular pioneer? Isn't she supposed to be in kindergarten and watching Sponge Bob?

Well even though it has the ring of urban legend I'll consider it the truth. There are some bright young children out there. Can you imagine what this child can be capable of if she gets an education and encouragment to succeed?

Hopefully the child is bright enough to reason everything out.

She has 5 Bible studies, three are with young ones, two are with
    adults.

Ummmmm......sound like a crock of sh** to me. A 5 year old is just barely learning to read. How can she conduct a bible study with 2 kids yet alone adults? PUHLEESE!!!!! Give me a break. Witnesses will say anything to make people say ahhhhhhhhh...what dedication. I heard this once at an assembly and me and my mom looked at each otherand said ...Yeah Right. This whole story is just plain hard to believe.

most kids learn to read before the age of five, don't they? i know i was reading books before i was in kindie, i think that's usual. poor kid sounds like me, i started out as a householder when i was 4...although i never did manage to get a bible study the entire time i was a witness, not a SINGLE solitary one. she must be really ambitious...that's gonna get her in trouble eventually, thank goodness :P

All I can say is; what a poor little thing to be so regimented at such an early age.

Such a brilliant little mind will eventually grow and reason for itself; ultimately, she will see the teachings for what they really are ( like we all did). Hopefully such brilliance will carry her onto better experiences in life.

Shame on her parents ( JW or not) for robbing their precious little charge of her childhood!

I think there should be a law... given shunning.... a minor should not have a legal binding commitment.

I was baptized at 12. I didn't know what the hell I was doing... I don't think I should havea legal commitment being that I was a minor. I think there should be a law set into place protecting minors... being baptized can have severe ramifications if you decide to leave.

What a bunch of crap. The Witnesses still try to act like they are normal people, not a cult, or on the fringe, and growing by leaps and bounds, but fudging their numbers by having a 5 year old read a couple of paragraphs from the Watchtower mag. at a door and call it a "bible study" is part of the way they can do this. Let's be real, what kind of person would slam the door on some cute little 5 year old girl? Of course they're going to listen, or at least pretend to. UNLIKE the Witnesses, who would never be cordial enough to listen to ANYONE with other beliefs, even if it was a five year old girl.

Unfortunately, with the separation of church and state, it would be hard to pass a law that interfered with a family's religious rights.
