2-3 cans of pepsi really isn't that much caffeine, probably only equivalent to a cup of coffee or so.

I am a hardcore coffee drinker. I can cut back, but my intake always creeps back up to too much. When I do want to cut back, I switch over to tea (like Lipton), that relieves the caffeine withdrawal, and I find it less jarring to lower the tea intake over the course of a few weeks. Then I switch back to one or two cups of coffee a day (as opposesd to 8 or 9). Right now I am in the two to three cups a day range. I love coffee. I started drinking it when I was about 5. I would never want to give it up entirely, unless it became a serious health matter. Shoshana
I used to drink 4-5 cups with breakfast and then go to gallons of strong iced tea for the rest of the day.
Went cold turkey a month back. Had a few headaches, not sure if they were related.
Next BP reading dropped 12 points on each side.
I drink a gallon of pop each day....sometimes more, sometimes less. I don't think I'm addicted to caffeine, but I have been immune to its effect for a long time. I tried drinking only caffeine free pop for a few weeks but didn't notice any difference so I switched back. I never drink coffee or tea.
Oh, BTW, decaf tastes LOTS better than it did years ago. Ah, science...

you say this like there is something wrong with it!!
seriously, just take it down little by little, then you'll be ok. try drinking a double expresso in the morning, and then just 1 more regular coffee right after lunch. works for me, and you wont be an addict.
me............dont talk to me unless I have 2 cups......it is sad, but besides my smokes and coffeee,thats my only bad habits....oh yeah,swear like a trucker,and bite my nails,and stay on this damn computer all night .........I guess I have more habits then I thought....better get myself a good counsellour...need more help then I thought...sh*t, my husband is right.........again........
your addiction is not that bad.............we all need something.....or a few things..
